I am in love with these guys, especially the bass player. 😍🤩
Matthew, please know me, love me, wish me, marry me...
Ok
Starring the winter soldier on drums
think its time to let nathan take the lead calebs voice is gone

Did the original Josh add the set list after you, or is yours the copy & paste 9 people have appreciated?
Muito obrigado!!!
One of the many reasons I love this band is because the BASS is so prominently featured-it's not buried in the mix and a lot of their songs start with it driving the beat and laying the foundation for the others to build on. JARED is ROCK SOLID and the others trust and respect him enough to lay down the intro on so many songs, it's just refreshing to hear...
Yep, that bassline is what hooked me on them from the start
Japanese scream bass
Not to mention all the bass lines are so tasty and above average. Reminds me of Eric Avery of Jane's Addiction. Erics bass was the focus of all the early JA stuff.
Amen brother! I make sure my band is mixed similar to kings! Our bass player is very good and our producers first mixes buried him along with the rhythm guitar. I have a strong belief in mixing everything equally. Part of the reason Jared is so good is because he isn’t afraid to break the norm and he focuses heavily on playing with Nathan’s kick drum and in later albums the bass and kick sound like one! Great stuff!
Jared's bass lines are constucted like a lower guitar line with a lot more movement than other bassists out there. I think this is because he was thrown into the fire when the band was formed and he learned to play bass on the fly as him and the band progressed.
Nathan’s back up vocals on “Tonight” are chilling. Best performance of this song I’ve seen
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Agreed.
Only just noticed them when I read your comment FUCKING AWESOME aye mate 👍🎶🎵
I come back often to this video for that
Don't forget Use Somebody vocals
It cool to see KOL on a smaller stage like this. No fancy light show just all about the music!
That version of "Tonight" is something special man. Amazing.
For me, Nathan's backup vocals make the song
Agreed!
Caleb deserves a round of applause for singing with a sore throat. Crazy part is he still sounded awesome!
Why? That’s his job. That’s why he’s paid millions of dollars, is to sing... so get out of here with that shallow empathy
@@BudFuddlacker yh but most singers would cancel the show, fuck off out of here if your gonna talk out your ass sunshine
@@LuisAli758 you can only say that with a keyboard, real life you’d be finished
@@BudFuddlacker I’d be finished by you? You wouldn’t do a thing dickhead
@@BudFuddlacker u said it buddy
TONIGHT! he killed it!
Oh he owned it. You can tell he's having a bit of diffulty for the first 3rd of the song, and then his voice rises out. Amazing moment !
@@MoReesio 1
Not bad for 3 brothers and a "kidnapped" cousin in a band named after grandfather. Actually, they're better than not bad, they're one of my fav top 3 bands.
That into to "tonight" is glorious
This recording sounds amazing. My favorite band always. Can't wait till this virus pandemic bullshit is over. Seeing them live... Every single time they play near me for the rest of my life.
Hope you kept your promise
Nathan's vocals on "Tonight" just perfect
Caleb: "my voice is shot I shouldn't sing this one"
Sounds even better
Anyone in 2023?
💯
2024 here
2024 says hello
"Tonight" Is by far their coolest tune on Mechanical Bull for me :)
I. Thing the same
AGREE
Amen!
Tim Bell meeting KoLand getting arrested on Broadway for public intoxication/resisting arrest...........
Don't Matter is badass though !
Excellent live performance from one of the greatest band's ever made....!!!!!
Tonight: YOLO
damn! it must hurt when he sings "tonight"
yeah you can tell he was spraying his throat with something a lot during the show.
Debbie Cuccia Redbull spray?
Valueboys lol nah probably novacane
They say he was sick that day, still killed it
BADA WADAA I can't wait to see him kill it in September here in Florida first time I'm seeing them live can't wait
Still such an incredible band, even after all these years. Have loved them since copping Youth And Young Manhood, then Aha Shake Heartbreak (a masterpiece), back when they FIRST came out. I heard the first 30 seconds of Holy Roller Novocain, and that’s all it took to not only become a fan, but to know they were different, unique, immensely talented, incredibly bad assed, and could become rock legends. And no one in America even knew them then. Including the young guy at Tower where I bought YAYM. I asked him if he’d every heard of them, he said no. I said “You will”. Not only was I right, but nearly 20 years later, they’re still going strong, and the whole world knows who they are now; and recognizes their incredible talent and music. They cut out the extreme hard partying of youth as a rock star, and sound better than ever. Their sound is so uniquely theirs too. No one sounds like KOL, in all the best ways. Just stellar, tight, brilliantly effortless musicianship, incredible lyrics and unmatched, chill inducing vocals and harmonies, with that raspy, southern drawl underlay. They are the best of the great, destined to be legend, rock bands to have emerged from the early/mid 00’s, and the last I’ve seen in my lifetime so far. Incredible how they didn’t even know how to play and just taught themselves along the way, and just got better and better. And their vocal harmonies are second to none. It’s that shared DNA vocal harmony. Just can’t beat it or duplicate. Caleb was worried about his throat, but his hoarseness only served to enhance his vocals, and they sounded fantastic. And god damned, Nathan has such an incredible voice, while effortlessly drumming his ASS OFF. They’re all exceptional on their instruments, and love a scorching Matt guitar solo anytime. AND I LOVE THAT THUNDERBIRD BASS JAROD LAYS IT DOWN THICK AND NASTY ON😉
Magical sound in this reduced stage, more confident, Jared killing that bassline at "Dont matter" , the surroounding sound they created on "Wait for me"... and "Tonight" was absolutely amazing...
For a 50 min show of KOL great set list and show.
43:00... ORGASMIC!!! That Jared part...fantastic! love KOL
Crowd is filled with old farts who just stand around and take video and pictures the whole time instead of getting into the music
Who pays attention to the crowd? Do you go to concerts for the fashion show?
Your are an idiot!. Listen to the music. Bring it in. You don't have to jump around and act like a teenager to enjoy the sounds
I love to lose my shit at KOL shows, but I'm scared the people around me think I'm crazy. No phone out, just enjoy the show and take the music in.
I was there. Thank you Kings Of Leon. It was amazing.
43:48 ,..That smile , that look , that move ....ahhh I love himmmmm
That solo in Crawl 😎 Matt is so underated!
Tonight snd Wait for me were amazing !!
I saw them live for the first time in Hamburg less than 2 weeks ago and it was the best concert I ever saw!!
Tonight! Unbelievably Awesome! Really impressed with Nathan's backup.
Tonight is one of my favorites. I love that break down
Even though this is a short set, I appreciate how Caleb hangs tough with his singing even though his voice is ragged and raspy from a "rough night" before (he mentions this just before the band begins the set). They had played a concert a couple of nights before, too. I *loved* how intimate the set was...how close they were to the audience...how great the camera shots were able to capture the show...etc. It's funny how the smaller audience was stacked with (age) 20-something women from the front row....and on. Ever notice how this band is so proficient with their instruments? Their live shows aren't a huge drop off in quality like many artists. That's rare.
Looks like such a boring corporate crowd. Saw a gig this size in london the other week with them and everybody went nuts from start to finish. American crowds always seem so tame and just nod along
Yeah, those corporate-looking audiences don't have a clue. KOL never fail to mention how England is such a special place for them b/c they got their big career start...audiences got bigger...etc. The music festivals throughout Europe seem to grow in size every year. I like how the crowds appreciate the bands from such a wide variety of genres. Sometimes, I'll download some of the music from the artists who perform at those festivals...and surprise myself with stuff that I'd never ever suspect that I'd like.
That is a lame crowd
Calebs wife is so lucky. She probably has him sing her to sleep. If I were her I would do that at least.
They play like gods, despite all obstacles ;-)
Best band live hands down... they sound dead up like their recordings.
I completely agree 😊
Helps to have extra musicians off stage!
16:59 Matt smirking at the cowbell lol
Wait for me 2019..who’s listening???
I've seen these guys a dozen times live and Molly's Chamber, Notion, and Crawl translate 1000x better live.
Grande banda. Eles estão crescendo cada dia mais...!
23:45 this reminds me of the good old Strokes! Real nice guitars!
41:28 🔊🙏🏼 “TONIGHT”...
45:50 revelry lol
uma das melhores bandas!!!
BEST. BAND. OF. THIS. GENERATION. PERIOD. END. OF. STORY.
The drummer is the only one who kept the same hairstyle.
I don’t know if I could handle being that close to them 😍
I just love whenever they perform anything from Because Of The Times!
On Call
How are you gonna monetize this video - greasyyyyyy
Yes, it is . The best song of the album and live is much better !
The whole set is fucking awesome
Easily the most under appreciated band that I've ever heard. I mean they aren't the most skillful musicians but GOD DAMN, they write great parts that sync with each other.
It takes skill to come up with memorable riffs and melodies not to mention Caleb's vocals very few bands sound good live which these guys sound almost identical to studio version
God Sends 😎
❤️🔥 forever a KOL fan!!!! Caleb is just my all time crush!!!
What a lucky crowd so close kinda intimate gig
TONIGHT
The brothers and cousin (+ unseen techs and other musicians) were [Sex] on fire here.
Six years on they're all a little chubbier but I bet they're still awesome live in intimate venues like the RBSS.
Double tambourine guy at 17:08 is my hero
how come nicki minaj's anaconda gets a million views and this only gets 100K+? LOVE KOL!!!!
Shame about the sound constantly cutting out
Every song is perfect
Amo muito esta banda. Passa logo pandemia e venham logo para o Brasil! 💙
Tonight is literally breathtaking....pity it was such a wooden audience
My God the compression is untenable. Why does it sound so terrible...
No idea. Someone did a really bad job

Awesome show. Amazing performance. Great crowd. I mean, I was moved by the bands performance. I think they sounded otherworldly. Headphones on. I love them. I am a big fan of all their albums. Very exciting to see and hear this. Thanks for sharing. Can't believe these negative comments. These guys give 100% and they are magnificent!
There's a lot of modern rock bands that are good but get boring and Kings of Leon personally stand out as a band being themselves doing what they want. Love their music
+Mike Zorzan i actually saw them for my 2nd time the 1st time in July of 2011 and 2nd April of 2014 in NOLA!! First time i went to see them i was 10 and 2nd time i was 13!! they freaking rocked and they are the best band i have seen live and i have also seen Rush and Boston!!
3rd guitarrist is hidden on the side
Chris Coleman. Married to Hank Jr daughter
The mix on this 👌👌
I heard once music is about filling colours, bass is filling the most brightest colour here. Hand down to the bassist..
