'The Don' was foreshadowed in this episode.

Not only that, but it was foreshadowed in a SPIDER MAN STREAM. Coincidence? I think NOT!

I can't imagine someone honestly believing plot inconsistencies don't matter. A murder mystery film like Knives Out works specifically because the events line up chronologically and work out logically. It's a tight story, and those aspects are what brings the story back to mind every now and again. Believe it or not, written and directed by Rian Johnson.

Emotional impact (or just impact, as I’m going to use it) doesn’t mean it is logical. A movie being logical helps it have impact. A movie can make entirely no freaking sense but it makes a few watchers feel things.
    Logic can help impact.
Impact doesn’t mean a work has logic.
There are movies that make logical sense, that don’t impact me as a viewer, that obviously impact others. There are movies that don’t make logical sense, that impact me as a viewer, and don’t impact others.
