As always your instructional videos are King of the FreeCAD how-to's on you tube. Very professionally done. Look forward to each one. Merry Christmas. Thank you
Well that all made sense. Just need time to practice so will have to watch again, pausing each step as I practice. You are an excellent instructor. Thank you very much. Jim
Great video on the subject. It is great to see your subscriber numbers going up. Merry Christmas. I look forward to seeing your videos in the new year.
Thanks for another excellent tutorial video and for all the others of 2020. FreeCAD is becomming a really good 3D tool and it's videos like these that help it become adopted by more and more new comers to OpenSource as serious software. Well Done Andrew, have a good Christmas let's hope 21 is good to us all.
Thank you for supporting me Kelvin! I've got so much more to show and I'm looking forward to it! 😁 Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your family! 😊
Hey Lewis! That's great to hear...just as long as it's not a hot liquid ofcourse! 😉 Hopefully I can continue to bring new and exciting videos to the channel! 😁
The "cleaner piece of geometry" is useful when 3D printing, as it will print across those areas joined, instead of treating them as separate areas to print individually, yielding a stronger part.
Your videos are very good and precise. Some of us do not have very good vision. The pointer is VERY small and move so fast it just disappear at times for us. Would it be possible for you to increase the pointer size and to a red color. Thanks a lot
Lots of interesting details. You're meticulous. :-) I encounter strange issue. I don't know if I made some error or is it FreeCad fault. 03:20 Part Design, Cube & Cylinder. I resized cylinder to be bigger than cube and transformed it by lowering cylinder. Then i set cylinder as active body and made a cut. My intention was to create a cavity in the cylinder with a floor and a ceiling. but when I press Boolean operation, the cube moves down, so both figures are on the same level. Is there a way to prevent this behaviour? P.S Hope I made myself clear. English is not my first language.
I see Mr.CAD-Andy has the thumbs for this video are constrained upwards in the YZ-plane, which is a great strategy for healthy and sustainable CAD-activity. Good job mate! Ima' suggest some too; If possible, to ease that thunderous space-bar you could isolate either your mic or keyboard from your table mechanically. There are some mic-stands/mounts on Thingiverse that could do the job, just search for "microphone shock mount". But to be honest, I'd rather see you doing a DIY-project with a video where you sort of "solve the problem" with FreeCAD and print it and presenting the challanges and solutions. I'd be glad to assist if that's an idea you're into. :)
I kid you not, when editing the video, the space bar thuds made me close my eyes and wonder how I hit it so hard! 😂 that sounds like a great idea Jonne! I'll do a bit of research and see what I can find! 😁
@@jonneneva4372 I'm using the Blue Yeti microphone. I've had a quick browse of a few designs for the shock mount, it might not work for the mic I have, but I'm sure theres a work around! 😁
sigh I am still dabling in 123d design but its very unstable so I thought lets try free cad and wow what a lot of options. a little old school but more power but I manged to crash it right away so thats disapointing. mybe i should try blender
Is there a process by which one could donate a meager amount to your channel. I don't typically do such but your videos are easily worth much more than I have to offer on a fixed retirees income. I would like to help what I can a time or two maybe...
Hey Arlen! That's such a kind gesture! 😁 Just knowing that there are viewers such as yourself who appreciate the content I create is more than enough at this moment in time 😁 Have a great Christmas and a happy new year! 😊

Thank you Jim! Practice makes perfect 😀
clear concise and very well executed, thanks Andrew - looking forward to seeing you coming back with more in 21!
Thank you Carlo! Have a great rest of your year! 😁

Thank you! Have a great Christmas Bruce! :D
Coming from Catia, can you do "Union trim" in FreeCAD? Only seen that in Catia so far
You should have more followers. You’re videos are extremely helpful. Thank you for making these. It’s helped me out ... a lot.
Hey Tapley! Thank you so much for your support! :)
Thanks for explaining this extremely important feature of FreeCAD.

Thanks! Very clear and repeatable. How about a tutorial on 4th axis path jobs?
Hey Keegan! That's certainly on my list! I'll give it a look over the Christmas break 😊
Looking forward to it. Happy Holidays!
And you! 😁
Always drop what I'm doing and watch your FreeCad videos 😊 Thanks for helping us newcomers come up the learning curve !

Good morning Pieter! I've increased the cursor from large to extra large. Hopefully this will help in the next video. Thanks again for the feedback :)

Same problem with boolean refined stl model and text.pl help
Really good set of tutorials- if the screen focus was better they would be perfect
Is there any way we can fillet the edge of intersection? I am struggling with that 🥺

Hai Andrew I am unable boolean fc circular text and cylinder model. any suggestions. pl help.I want to 3d print
Please also make a video on Robot workbench of FreeCAD.
I shall add it to the list 😊
Why do you bother with the part workbench? Isn’t that a legacy feature?
These aren't working for me in FC 20.1 on Windows 10.

Crashing is fine. Freecad works great if one realises the mistake. Tricky at first.
