Caradon Hill Mining Landscape

  • Caradon hill is part of Bodmin moor and contains many disused copper and tin mines. The remains of these mines are still present today and many shafts, engine houses, trial pits and tips still dominate the landscape. Also in the area are "The Hurlers" which are a group of three ancient stone circles.

    Used to play there as a kid in the 60’s. My father played there in the 30’s and was brought up nearby. Great video.

    Really very nice indeed. I flew my freestyle drone around one of these old mines, the landscape is fantastic and a drone really provides a unique perspective. (y)
