Wonderful upgrade and farm focus rep making a huge difference.... nice when folks care.
We tuned our quad. Low end torque, horsepower and fuel economy. We have saved 1/3 of a tank a day of fuel after that tune. It’s worth it.
I don’t understand why if the tuner can make it better why doesn’t the factory make it better?
@@felixjames5732 Everything is a tradeoff and/or a risk. The OEM is tuning for engine longevity to get the machine past its warranty period with as few costs to them as possible. Hopping up the motor comes with risks and rewards.
@@JHruby Also there are tradeoffs regarding the emissions that an OEM also has to take into account.
Just chipping the john Deere saved on fuel consumption and increased power
@@joescheller6680 try a low end torque for pulling air drills program. Noticeably better pulling in hills.
I'm working on my tractor trying to make sure it pulls the new to me drill I bought. It is super dry here. Last week the wind was blowing over 70 a couple days and it has been at least 20 every day. The dirt has been moving. Working on pretty drastic plans to hopefully get the cows through to better days. Glad to see someone that needs the moisture received some. The Lord will provide.
I hope you catch some moisture!!!
Thank you for posting tony God bless you and your family
My concerns have been put to rest! This is the best tune I have seen yet!
Case doing it good
Tony great job explaining what your goals were and what was required to get the job done. Looking fwd to seeding to see how she performs
Great video and excellent explanation of the power isn't pollution It's efficiency I'm glad you got some moisture for the bumper crop I've been praying you get Keep up the good work I'll keep you in my prayers as always 🙏
Really enjoy your channel. Here in Western Pennsylvania we were plowing oats ground eight days ago and for as early in April as it was we were very very dry. Then it snowed and it rained and now we're very very wet I haven't a little bit of an issue with calving trying to keep the close-up cows on dry ground as much as we possibly can or in the barn. Like you always say at the end of your videos farm hard pray harder. Probably one of the reasons that I really enjoy your channel is that philosophy we certainly do that around here.
Great video Tony
Very cool! Thanks for sharing that process Tony.
That new air intake is a lot better than the old one. Our quad needed its filters cleaned daily, now its down to every couple of weeks.
Wow! Ben is very knowledgeable. I really loved this video. Learned so much even after many years of wrenching. I’m curious if there will be an increase in fuel consumption. The air cleaners are so important. Been saying it for years. Thank you for sharing this video. Can’t wait to hear how the seat test is.
Well made and highly informative content.
Great video gd explanation of how tuning works 👍
Right on you’re in the 640 club. Now if this was a car, it would be classified as a sleeper. Lol great vid Tony. Hope you folks get some more moisture. Take care & stay safe. Cheers from BC
Congrats on the extra 105 PTO hp in the 580. Beautiful tractor 👍
Great video Tony looks like you have the horses you want. Been praying harder for you and looks like you got some moisture but I know you need more as It looks like North Dakota is getting it all the snow, were supposed to get the rain on Sunday Easter and a old wise tell isif you get precip on Easter Sunday you get moisture the 6. Following Sundays as we are really short on moisture. We missed all the tornadoes the other night but they were 40 miles to the east of us. I think it was more destruction than getting rain which I feel bad for the ones that lost everything it sad. We have been getting alot of wind lately in the 45-65 range they even had dust bowls the other night across Nebraska and Iowa by Sioux City Iowa and clocked winds at 67 mphat the airport so I'm praying harder for rain for all the farmers and have a Happy Easter.
🙏🙏🙏🙏for your family TONY!! Good to see the moisture in your area.Love the shop lites nice effects..
Shew! Man it was 80 degrees yesterday here in NC! We need some rain bad!!
Sure lookin forward to see how it performs on the hils and when you get more moisture.!
Engine HP on the dyno is one thing but you also need to put it on a drawbar dyno pulling. On these bigger tractor a lot of people don’t know it but they are programmed to detune in the lower gears to prevent transmission and drivetrain damages. We had a MT875C cat tractor in 1st gear 175hp, 2nd gear 200hp, 3rd gear 240hp, and it didn’t give it max hp of 600 until gear 6. So if having hp troubles pulling hills in lower gears that could be the issue
As long as it has the power to spin the wheels (or tracks) it has enough power in those low gears.
Jared, yes that is a point operators need to consider. You can find most of those specifics regarding de-rating in lower gears at the Nebraska Tractor Test Lab website. They publish this exact data you are referencing for each specific machine.
Very interesting. Good luck with the new seeder. 👍
That is very Interesting , great video
Brother Tony if you ever want to know ANYTHING about the new Air Seeder you should check out Mike Mitchell he has encountered any possible problem with those and extensively explained the situation and how to resolve it. There’s a really bad issue with the big pins at the reach. They are dry so they bind and snap and they don’t look like something to worry about basically but you really should look at them please Mike is so wonderful about covering the details and you can be Blessed with his experience! I hope you and your Family are doing well Brother God Bless you all!😏❤️🖖🏼🇺🇸
The air seeder looks great. I hope your seeding goes good with it
The 12.9L engine in that tractor is a fantastic engine. I used it first in an Iveco Stralis truck I drove from Ireland in 2005 but it would be great if they used the 16L FPT engine that get massive power.
Posted similar on a few channels, when are they going to put the 16L in a Quad...
That drill is a monster
Last night I prayed for God to Bless the plains with the rain & conditions they need to produce the grains the world needs to avoid a massive food shortage. That would not just help our farmers(esp w/ insane fuel/fertilizer prices/shortages) but it’s save lives. Ukraine is Euro-Asia’s bread basket. After last year’s drought in our bread basket, we all need to pray for a Blessed planting & harvest this year
Just found your channel love your intro with the kids. Looks as though your raising your family the correct way with Jesus in your lives great to see that. I hope and pray you get the rain that you need this year and that your channel grows as fast as possible. Keep the faith we know how it all ends. God blesses those who live his words.🙏🙏🙏
WoooHooo!! Looking forward to watching planting..
Waouh, vraiment impressionnant la puissance sortie par ce fabuleux tracteur après la reprogrammation,ce qui est aussi primordial c'est le couple gagné 👌👍
I looked them up when Zach and Randy visited them and I found out I managed farms just south of their facility a few miles. I'll refrain from asking if he can tune my Farmall 806 haha.
Excellent video
great instructional video. The tune up is awesome, thanks for sharing.
Very good video 👍 👍 👍
Cool video! Wow
Happy Easter to all of your family and I hope it is muddy alot
Surprised you just now put on the hillco. They work good for guys in our area. Great video very informative!
I have my BS id Diesel. Watched and did plenty of dyno testing. A good tune is much more than just the torque and HP it is putting out. Just the dyno results are easy. I would have many more questions before I let ANY tune done on my equipment.
You are correct and if you have questions we have answers. That being said, if we can’t answer your questions properly than we are not the tuner for you.
That was great video, full of information.Really liked it. Thanks.
That was Very Interesting!!
Great video
It would have been interesting to see how well the quad pulled that 100' drill before you turned it up.
My grandpa had one of those air intake pre cleaners on his 1100 Massey years ago. It was fun to watch the dirt spit out the sides in dusty conditions.
Thanks Tony! Enjoyed the video! That dyno was neat.
Hello Tony,
When are you going to fix that shop light.
Love the videos keep up the good work and God bless and stay safe and be kind.
Ordering new ones tomorrow.
29 inches here wet and heavy. Great video
I'm going to be waiting for your results of horse power increase on your tractor. The new air drill looks like a monster and heavy with a full cart. I sure hope it works out for you. Good luck and I hope you get rain for a bumper crop.
Tony real nice to see your new hired man. Seems like he might work out good for you. Just make sure you pay him with 2 shine nickels. That way he has something to rub together. Waiting on you to get your job done. LoL. Just kidding. I new it was your dad. Good to see you as always Mr. Fast.👍👍. We can only hope and pray that things go good for everyone. You folks be careful and take really good care of each other. It's like the wonderful things that you tell at the end. 🚜hard🙏pray harder. See you later fast family.🖐👊
Very interesting
Thank you that was very interesting
I wonder how much you would be able to change a 620 quad track ?? just wondering . Thanks for sharing this info Looking forward to watching you pull the huge seeder .
i had the same question. i wonder what the max hp they could achieve with sustained durability. everybody knows somebody who tuned there truck and blew it up 😂
The 580 and a 620 is the same motor so technically it could be a 620 with the 620 program.
New tractor prices have gone thru the roof from demand and supy chain issues for parts for manufacturing them. They are probably up 30% or more in price in the last few years.
Our guideline is about 10% over the top of the series. The 620 is the top of the series for the 12.9L platform. That being said, about 680-690 engine is where we are willing to max them at.
We run our 620 at just under 800hp. Previous owner had it at 800 and blew up a rear diff pulling grain cart. Not really too surprising knowing the abuse it probably suffered from the previous owner lol.
Awesome moisture! They need it in Western Nebraska, too!
Good video. Although horsepower is the standard for US tractors, it would also be interesting to compare the difference between the torque output before and after the tune as measured by the dyno.
Thats a pretty awesome gain on horsepower. PTO wise. You must be pushing over 700 at the fly wheel. Crazy, just a little computer management and probably a lot more fuel. Much cheaper than buying a new Fendt.
We are thinking 685 hp since we added 105 to 580
@@FastAgMontana flywheel horsepower != pto horsepower
Not sure when you videoed this, but I'm curious if that was the same system that dumped 36 inches of snow here in central N. Dakota. Been busy the last few days helping move it all.
Good video
640 at the pro is probably closer to 700 at the flywheel. Thanks Tony can’t wait to see it pull.👍💪
Think that's calculated to engine horse power.
@@jtn-minn8105 the tractor is a 580, so that's engine hp. it's like a 8.5% drivetrain loss if my math is right, so new engine hp is 694 hp.
Simply put it is refreshing to see a Godly man and his family working the land and giving the glory and praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.. Keep up the good work brother!

That was awesome!
Tony, you can have some of our rain from northern WV, these guys can't log more than a couple days a week the last three months.
👍👌 awesome that red power!! Keep on making those great videos and can you send some of that moisture to the Texas Panhandle we can use some moisture out here to 🤣👍
Will the Case 370 eventually get some tuning attention ?
Thats a pretty similar intake system to what we get In Australia from factory on the quadtracks
You need a Big Bud 16V-747 on that air drill.
How much snow did y'all get? How close are you near to Canada?
Great video 👍👍👍👍
AWESOME.........
How much deep moisture do you have? Dry ground that's been dry for the last 2 years will not soak up water fast. We been fighting drought for the last 10 years. We had better moisture this last winter and had some snow the last 3 days. All the moisture we got this year has gone in the ground and very little runoff. I hope all farmers get the moisture and growing season they need. Every part of this country is different. It's a tough job to be a full time farmer, rancher in today's world. City slickers and politians have no clue what it takes to feed this country. I hope you have the moisture and that good seeding and growing weather comes your way. We have a great nation to feed.
I haven’t pushed in a moisture probe to check. We had ok moisture this time last year but it quite raining in early June.
That's why God made the farmers He knew it would take someone tough to do that job. 🙂🙂🙂 There's a lot more that goes with it but can't remember all of it anymore.
I just heard the whole " why God made the farmer " the other night again and it's pretty cool.
I know my friends down at Harrison are doing cartwheels with all the snow they got
great video
Yessir!!! More horses
Tony, would love to send you some of the excess rain that we have here in Western New York. We would like to get started in the field but just to wet. Hopefully you folks can get some more moisture. Trust in the Lord for He knows what we need. Have a Blessed Easter and rejoice in the Lord!!!🙏
Wow that's impressive, that Quad is going to be an animal during seeding.
Hi Tony, Could you please tell me where you guys got those air intake kits from? I couldn’t make out what you said.

That dyno tells way more than my old Taylor does.
Hope to see Colin again soon.
He will be back after Easter.
Nice! More precipitation and more power, what's not to like?
Love his knowledge on the power to fuel use funny runs cleaner no need for all the emissions crap.

Colin is working for his dad now
@@clubbertruck Collin is to return after Easter
Great video. Do you have any idea what the total length of the Quad, the seeder and cart is when it's folded for transport?
Around 145’ I believe
CASE-IH says 25ft for the 580 Quadtrac, Bourgault says 69ft for the drill in transportation mode and 56ft for the 91300 cart, that's to the tip of the auger.
That would make 25 + 69 + 56 = 150ft / 46 metres, ..... I hope he will measure the correct total length one day. 😉😁
I SAW 621.something!!!! :) NICE!!!!!! 18:10
I’m not trying to come of as a smart but did you say that new drill is a 100 foot what I was wondering I figured you would get the tractor turned up but my question what about weight are you going to have to put a lot more weight I seen on mike mitchal he had to hang all kinds of weight on his tracks with big steal plates then he had a bunch on the rear and he is pulling a 80 foot and you have some pretty good rolling hills keep up the good work I hope you all have a good year I hope you all get some rain this year I hope it a good year with everything that is going on
Mike was doing that on his John Deere. These case quads seem to hook up better for some reason. This one is over 60,000 pounds already. We will have to see how it does.
@@FastAgMontana lol jd 4 tracks don’t hold a candle to case quads many ppl have figured that out! Not just saying seems to be the way it is ppl seem to hate the transmission s and that Cummins engine.
@@FastAgMontana Mike said their old 620 Quadtracks were at 60,500. Needed 65,500 on the JD 620 . Neither one could climb their biggest hill with a half full seed tank without spinning out. Seeds it going downhill.and comes back on the more gradual slope.
I’m curious are the tractor components going to be strong enough for the extra HP. I have taken axels out and cracked the housing when putting more power to them
from what I have seen in the trucking industry and I don't know if this is the same for ag but I would say its is
a lot of these engines are all the same components wise maybe the 550 horse motor will have a smaller turbo or smaller injectors compared to a 600 horse motor but rod wrist pin piston are all the same. But at least in my experience the only thing different from the different horse motors is the tune from the factory
@@spitfire125 back in the day Oliver did that a lot. Same motor and drive line just add a turbo our bump the fuel pump up
The 580 is the same thing as a 620.
They were calling about your tractors extended warranty!!
Lol
Will you take the rain from Washington iowa up to your area because we are sick of the rain it won't stop.
Becareful what u ask for u might just get it and then complain about it just saying 🙏🏻👍🙂
Adding weight?
Tony fix that dang light!
He is ordering new lights the next day
Tony where has Colin been?
Left to work with his dad
Will be back after Easter
Its all well and good to pump up the output of the engine but a 20% increase in measured power implies a significant increase in turbo speed and exhaust temperature. I would recommend you research these critical measurements and give thought to how the changes might be affecting your engine durability!
I wouldn't be surprised to the difference between a 620 and a 580 is a different tune on the engine.
Are you going to build you a 150ft long Quonset barn that you can just pull through to keep that drill and seeder out of the weather???
Id like to know the overall length of the rig hook-up. Its gotta be close to 200ft overall
I'm kinda curious if having the seed tank behind the tool bar does it compact the ground more after you seed the ground?
Since the seed knives are only 3/4” on 12” spacing the ground between the rows holds up the drill and doesn’t pack the furrow. You can only get up to a 950 bushel tank in front and that is smaller then what we had on the 80’ drill we sold.
Hope it's enough for that big new drill
Do they do anything with Powerstroke or anything with the other diesel pickup trucks for increasing power Tony?🤔❤️🖖🏼🇺🇸
We do not work on pickups unfortunately. Our focus in on Ag Equipment including semis.
@@common_folk thank you for your time dealing with my question I appreciate you. I understand too 😏✌🏼🇺🇸
Interesting
Sounds same principle as the OpenFlash unit i use on my 1290 Super Enduro Dirt Bike ECU - 180Hp @ 185Kg
OpenFlash allows 3 tunes stored
Only thing with my OpenFlash modul is i cant flash another 1290's ECU unless i reset the modul There locked to the Specific bike.
What does boosting the output do to the longevity of the engine?
If there is more wear Tony obviously thinks the extra maintenance/repair costs will be cheaper than trading in for a bigger tractor. I wonder if someone who had the dealership do their repairs rather than saving costs by doing the work themselves the way Tony does would reach the same conclusion.
What happened is the engine is going to be more efficient and run like it was meant to. Pulling hard always will put more wear on but the concern will be on the drive train. He will be fine.
More load on an underpowered machine = more heat. When the machine is properly tuned to deliver the proper amount of fuel and air, it will lower EGT’s and create less wear on the internals. As someone else said here though, the additional strain is potentially on the drivetrain. That being said though, the manufacturer delivers this same machine to the farmer at a higher HP output than Tony’s is and they are willing to warranty it so the machine is built for it.
@@common_folk that's good to check. I do know from years of working on Deere machines just because it is in the same series doesn't mean the drive train or all the engine components are the same. 8000 series Deere's are an excellent example of that. The pistons are different from the lower power to the higher. The axles are different also. Many things to check. But 10 percent should not be a problem with any machine.
@@plowboy7700 totally agree. There are certain series that folks need to understand the exact types of differences you have pointed out.
@@common_folk I didn't see what your program did for torque curve. Were you able to check it after the tune? Or was it too much for the Dyno to handle?
Let her eat!!!!! Why no tune for the 380 magnum?
21:45 - Please clarify, will Farm Focused refuse to work on emissions modified machines?
That is correct Jason. We do not make adjustments to emissions systems. Also, if your machine is already deleted, we cannot work on it. The reason for this is that once we make "power adjustments" to your already "emissions adjusted" file that someone else did, the powers that be now consider that completely our file as in we deleted it even though we actually did not.
