nice, i'll have to try that list idea becasue something that's been tripping me up alot as more of a gardener with some loose planning (i can't fully plan or i feel like there's no fun left to explore in the actual writing part personally) is i'll get somewhere and then be like "oh wait actually i shoulda started the story there" or "oh no i should change how the character responded in that other part". like i don't go back and completely redo it (when i did i realized that story wasn't gonna work because i kept feeling a need to redo things and couldn't really get comfortable) but it's also like wait how do i manage these pieces? xD i have pruned out some stories and am doing really well with my word counts now so i'm pleased with my progress but there's so much i still have to work on (also i use captions because of auditory processing issues)
I bet that single line breakdown of the chapters after draft one really comes in handy for any synopses you may have to write up too.
For sure it helps a lot.
