I've been living in Murphy since 2017, coming from Charolette in SC, it's a great place until it comes to places to go. After you've lived there for a year or two you about explored the whole town it gets kinda boring but it's a great place to live, the schools and the teachers are the most respectful people met yet. But by you know it, the whole town knows you and you know everyone. It's like a big ol family!
Murphy is one of the best deals in the state. It's one of the LAST western NC mountain towns with affordable housing around the town. 300k still gets a decent home in Murphy, and the town itself is pretty decent, AND getting better every year. This is a good place for people that want the small town NC mountain lifestyle without breaking the bank.
I can do that for you. I have skipped going into most shops due to the time it takes. And I want to finish my challenge of visiting every town in North and South Carolina in a reasonable amount of time. But I think I can squeeze a few in here and there. Thanks for all your thumbs up by the way. They keep me motivated. 👍👍👍
