Hey everyone, today I’m taking a look at the OMTech 60w compact fiber laser and I have to say that I am rather impressed. This machine is very simple to setup and use and doesn’t take up a whole lot of space. It can handle all your deep engraving needs at a reasonable price and comes with US support which I know is a big concern of some people. Make sure to use the discount code in the description to save additional money as well. If you have any questions, just leave me a comment. Enjoy! 👍🏻
The cable is that long just in case you wanted to put the base in cabinet and mount the head on the desk or table, which would give you a greater surface area for multiple types of rotaries and parts.
Do these settings apply to the one I just purchased I'm not sure about the dimension size yet cause it hasn't shown up. Supposed to be in today or tomorrow . Galvo Compact 20 - 20W Integrated Fiber Laser Marker Engraving Machine with 4.3''x 4.3'' Working Area for Metal
That cord is super long so you can take off the head and use it on something that won't fit on the base or that's too heavy. Mine came with a cage and a handle for that purpose.
Looking at OMtech vs Monport for fiber, which would you recommend (considering all- ease of use, software integration, customer service, machine quality)? I'm looking at fiber but I don't want to end up with a 5-7k paperweight.
Both are really good machines and can run either software. OMTech has the better customer service though as it’s US based. It all depends on your needs though and what you’re looking for. I don’t think you could go wrong with either one.
You mention this model going for $3,599 but it looks like it's listed for $4,599 on the site. Was that an error or did it really go up since this video went out?
The OMTech website says that headquarters are in California, but Google AI claims that manufacturing is in China. I can't find any specific reference to the place of manufacture on the company website. Can you confirm that these are actually made in the USA? All the laser engravers I've researched so far are made somewhere in Asia, usually China.

Great video. How many passes for that coin?
@@Frightknight28 it was set to 256
Great Job! I just got my OmTech 60W MOPA Friday. Your video was instrumental for me to get going.
Awesome! I’m sure you’ll love it 👍🏻
I like this engraver! Thanks for the review Buddy.
No problem. Yeah I really like this one. It works great 👍🏻
Nice review and samples! - The vocal rise in your intonation drives me crazy, but that is one me. Perimeter VS Parameter, well...
Love The Goonies

Don’t see any dust or fume extraction. What do you do to keep your work space clean and lungs protected?
@@charleshetrick3152 I use a dust extractor normally. Mostly when doing deep engravings.

@@johnvbanta it probably went up. I checked when I released the video.

Hello 👋
Were you able to protect your eye this time 😉? I kid, but seriously hows your eye doing? That was so scary last time.
@@SeanRedux ha yes I did. Now that I moved my light up my head will no longer hit it. 👍🏻 it’s much better now, thanks for asking.
