My best perfume bargain purchase ever was a lot of >25 (mostly) vintage fragrances for $75. The box of perfumes popped up for sale in a Facebook fragrance group and the seller was only interested in making an in-person sale to one buyer. They didn’t live in my city (St. Louis, MO) but I happen to have a lot of friends who live near the seller (in Minneapolis, MN). I commented saying that I was interested, but I never imagined I would be so lucky as to be able to actually purchase the box. The seller went down the line of commenters in order and eventually, she got to me. The stars aligned and I was quickly able to find a friend who was willing to meet up with her and get the box for me. It then sat in a closet in my friend’s house for several months until I could find another friend who was coming through St. Louis from Minneapolis and was willing to give my perfumes a ride lol.
The box included vintage bottles (mostly w batch codes from the mid 90s through the early 00s) of Shalimar, L’Heure Bleue, Mitsuoko (EDT & EDP), a couple of discontinued Aqua Alllegoria’s, Rive Gauche, Caleche, Ivoire & Balmain de Balmain, Caron Bellodgia, Bal a Versailles, and others. I still can’t believe how lucky I was to have been able to purchase all these beauties for such a steal!
I have since purchased a number of vintage miniatures which is a great way to try older juice without spending a fortune. I still have a number of vintage fragrances on my wishlist. Lately I’ve been thinking about buying Habanita. I’ve never smelled it, but I just can’t get it out of my head!

Love how you store your samples, this way you can really see and test them properly. Samples mainly used to be free perks, but nowadays niche sample sets cost good money, so keeping them organized and actually using them makes sense.

I’ve been using those acrylic stands for a few years. They are the best! It makes it easier to see them and reach for them.
Aspirational collection, but I can't help but feel a momentary tinge of the blues knowing that some of these beautiful fragrances will sit for awhile waiting to be worn. Thanks for sharing your scent passion with us!
Yeah I completely agree which is why I do declutter my collection every so often. I guess it’s a toss up between enjoying collecting and also reviewing fragrances. 🥹

Hi Hayley, I have been waiting for this! Thank you for doing this video. I definitely want: Ani, Lune Feline, multiple Kerosene perfumes, Dama Bianca. I am very curious about Milk, Annicke 5, Imperial Peacock, Sora Dora, and the Boucheron one. La Perla is a hard pass. Too expensive to blind buy, and no way for me to test. Heard it was heavy on the flowers; not my thing.
Yeah I would say La Perla is pretty prominent on the florals in general. Kerosene is such a good fragrance house isn’t it!
