On my 50th birthday in 2008 I saw them at the Pour House in Charleston, SC. Without a doubt the best bar show I have ever seen by a huge margin, and i have seen my share of great bands in bars. I asked if Grace could sign the CD I had purchased at the intermission and was told "Maybe but I wouldn't count on it" When they finished the 2nd set and I walked over to get my CD, Grace ran over, gave me a hug and gave me the signed CD. It said - To William (my oldest son) and Happy to your Dad 50 yeah !! I still have that CD and will cherish it always.

I'd waited nearly three years to see GP. 4 times now in the last year and each show is better than the last. This is a band that leaves it ALL on stage.

i saw grace open for the Avett Brothers over the weekend in Nashville. She lit a fire under the crowd and definitely set the tempo for the night. Great performer.

Her interview at the beginning, when she talks about not wanting to act or paint, completely reminds me of the song 'Waste' by the greatest VT band of all, Phish.

    We got lost again
Drove to the end of the road
    And a red-faced man
Taught us to do what we're told
    And on the twenty-third night
Things ain't bad but things ain't right
    Are we falling or flying?
    Are we falling or flying?
    Are we living or dying?
    I guess we'll never know
    The air's so heavy
It could drown a butterfly if it flew too high
    And I get the feeling
That the truck driver ain't shy
    ?'cause he's looking at me
    But nowhere near my eyes
    And on the thirty-fifth morning
Things ain't good but things ain't boring, no
    Are we falling or flying?
    Are we falling or flying?
    Are we living or dying?
    I guess we'll never know
    Striking rock but hitting gold
    Sometimes it's hard to tell
If there's a life behind this song
    But I know tomorrow
Today won't feel so long, no
    ?'cause on the forty-second night
The room was dark but the stage was bright
    Are we falling or flying?
    Are we falling or flying?
Are we living? Are we dying?
?'cause, my friend, this too shall pass
So play every show like it's your last

It is very possible, I go to school in Vermont and it is surprising how little some people know of some shows, T.V. plays very little role in lives up here, even for college students.

I first heard this sing on E.R.~~It was a really sad episode~~Found out who sang this~~Been listening to this since~~That was 4 ever ago when E.R. first aired~~Still watch the reruns~~Grey's Anatomy is a garbage show compared to E.R.~~It's more realistic~~The cast regulars had the best story lines as well~~I love Grace's voice so much~~Beautiful song~~💗💗💗

Cable TV is not hard to come by in the 802, she plays up the VT image sometimes, though. Then again she is from the mad river valley.... ALL ski bums there... they took the torch from Phish

I was listening to Avett Brothers and Mumford & Sons, both of which are great.
That took me to Florence & The Machine.
No offense, but I had to get away and listen to Grace.
No comparison but only 72k views?
That's allright... keeping a great secret.

Who cares if the song was in a TV show? Musician's gotta eat, health insurance is expensive, mortages cost a lot, saving for retirement is a bitch, and it's nice to have some dough to do some cool stuff like traveling or just giving it away to something you believe in. The margins in the music biz (even for moderately successful acts and artists) are far thinner than a lot of naive fans realize or would want to believe. More power to them for getting exposure and some licensing money.
