Absolutely beautiful 🎉 Both played incredibly well. Some of Lin’s shots are so beautiful to watch! He deserved this win 👍🏼
ML played pretty shiffy game. So many misses because of mistakes. Kcking the barrier in frustration. There is nothing incredible about that.
Ma Long might be already looking ahead to next month's WTTC at this point. No guarantee he will win it but it'd be truly historic if he does.
Next month is Team World Championship. Of course, China will win.

@@gragbogdan5084 когда Ма Лонгу нужна победа - он не уступает ни в скорости, ни в точности. Просто «разрывает» соперника. В данной встрече, по расчетам тренеров, победить должен молодой китаец. Вот и вся разгадка.

Lin has always been an extremely technically strong player and now he has improved his motivation and mental strength in the past couple of years too. His use of the timeout early in the fifth game was very smart. He has probably the most powerful cross court backhand drive of any lefty pro player. Ma Long used his backhand quite a lot this match and it seems like he's getting better at the more modern backhand centric rallies that make up a lot of the modern pro meta now. You could also see that he was trying out a lot of hook/shovel service. Maybe he is trying to emulate WCQ in this regard.
Lin is very good today,. Ma long is good but in this game it was Lin day. It happen in tennis when everything works for you. Congratulations Lin
I've watched Ma play for so many years I can somehow tell he doesn't really put in all his efforts this time. I won't say he intentionally let Lin win, but I don't think he's really eager to win this one. He didn't use his best tactics, and he tried quite some casual serves---which he won't do in a match he's eager to win.
Yeah, it does look like that... I feel like he treated this match as a practice a bit as well, opting for longer rallies more than usual.
Yep, when it comes to teammates he does not enable Dragon Mode.

They’re trying to clean the sweat off their hands and close to net is a place the ball rarely goes so it won’t be affected by the wetness

The commentators should provide their commentaries in between points and NOT during play. We want to hear the sound of bats on ball and ball of the table and grunt of the players. It’s also a respect to the players that you are interested enough to watching the games and not rattling away during play.

Don't think Ma Long unfortunately loose but purposely concede his compatriot opponent the victory , giving him one more chance to prove himself he still can go further when he feels confidennt....think he often does that to encourage young compatriot players .

Les autres chinois ne craignent pas Ma Long car ils le connaissent par coeur, contrairement aux européens, pour qui les deux joueurs les plus injouables sont Ma Long et Wang Chuqin.

Матч очень похож на "гарантированный проигрыш Ма Лонга". Такой же матч был в Загребе 2007 (матч Wang Liqin - Ma Lin). Некрасиво!!!
