Good explaination
Generic supportive comment as a thanks for the video.
Thank you, it was really helpful! If there is any chance you could explain what the Inverter is for, I would appreciate it. You mentioned it in the first minute but I don't get if it needs to be placed within the battery bank or nearby or if it is even connected. Thank you.
The invertor will be part of the battery bank when you craft the battery bank itself , But first you have to craft or find an invertor.
inverter changes the power from Direct Current to Alternating Current in real life solar panels produce DC But the electrical grid uses ac the inverter changes it
@@gooptydoopta Yes Exactly , I actually have solar panel on my home.
The one in this mod are bases on 2015 power efficiency but you have settings to lower the efficiency to 1995 which is the year zomboid is based on.
I'm hosting a server and having trouble connecting panels I've placed, it connects at first but doesn't stay connected and I'm not sure what to do.
You might want to contact the author of the mod it seems some sort of bug with the server.
I dont know what's wrong but there's an error popping up on my lower right screen when i connect the solar panels
Could be a conflict or the mod didn't install right, I would try to test the mod alone in debug mode
If that doesn't work reinstall the mod.
i get error when i try to connect the panels with the battery bank.. have anyone any idea how to fix this?
Maybe the battery bank is too far from the panels?
I don’t understand the failsafe function though. The GEnerator Failsafe.
So lets say you are low on battery power and it has been raining for 3 days so your solar panels are not collecting any sunlight instead of turning on the generator manually, It turns on the generator on automatically until the sun comes out again and the solar panels start recharging the batteries again.
It is useful when you are not at your home and got like a refrigerator that you need to keep on so that it keeps the food fresh.
Place it on the same tile as generator and keep generator full. If you're in another town and bad weather hits, once the battery bank reaches zero, it will automatically turn on the generator to power whatever is in its area of effect. A lot of pre-built building lights, if left turned on, will drain a ton of your generator so if you're going to occupy an existing building, makesure to go around and turn off all of its external light sources. It makes a big difference with multi level, expanded buildings with multiple entrances/exits. Solar is really nice, just be sure to take every battery from every car you come across if you don't wish to drive it. Need as many DIY batteries as can be and each consists of I think 4 or 16 car batteries.
I cant connect my generator as an external sources, how can i solve it, i place as in video the failsafe but its not displayed in solar panels menu as an external source and didt have any other buttons to connect it as external source, please help
@@pedobearpedobearovici1219 Try to refresh the menu of the solar panel , also is the generator far from the power bank?
I gave you a thumbs up for burning up your base. 😂
Never had an accident yet but Thanks 😝
Anyone know where to get the inverter
You can find them in warehouses or in garages
You can also craft one if you know the receipt
better to use a generator then solar panel i think its more simple
I like to play with no fuel stations which makes life more complicated 😅
It's easy with a house that's small sure use a Gen but when you have a 5 lvls of building it's better to use solar with a mansion
