Hey!! This really made me smile, this was actually my full pal dc set that I sold to Game On, you can actually see one of my recent videos I decided to go through every title for my own memory. Will miss them, but i’m over the moon that people such as yourself have visited this store, the guy that owns it is such a nice bloke, and i’m chuffed that some of the collection has gone to a good home 😊! Enjoy the games!!
@@TheGebs24 I’m facilitating a move to Japan later this year and downsizing to be realistic about what I should take with me. And also since Dreamcast cases literally explode when you sneeze on them, there’s no way they would have arrived all in one piece 😂. I’ve come to terms with the fact I absolutely loved collecting them and that was so much fun, and I can mark it off my bucket list! My thought process behind not having any regrets is the fact that being in Japan, I can enjoy collecting Japanese versions of all the games I loved and sort of start collecting again! 😊 In a month or so Game On will probably have my full Saturn PAL set too so if you’re collectin Saturn, keep an eye out 😎
None of those consoles were a failure id say, especially not the saturn. They all have amazing game library's and the saturn has a huge fan scene now and its more populer than ever
Dreamcast is probably my favourite console ever and I still play it (even online) today. So many memories wrapped up in this machine as well as some truly great games that have stood the test of time. ✌️
The dreamcast is a huge deal at my house. It's always hooked up and ready on our main TV. My 6 year old son regularly challenges guest to soul calibur. He's getting pretty goof with nightmare lol!
I was surprised of the condition of this collection.Still clean and crispy.Just like we love it as game collectors.Still got my Dreamcast in excellent condition. With some nice gems on it: Giga Wing, sealed Quack Attack, sealed Zombie Revenge, and one of my favourites Shmups: Sturmwind. Still miss Speed Devils in the collection.Grts from Belgium Gebs🙋
Sold my dreamcast in 2015 which i owned a few months after launch day. It was a solid system that was left for dead way too soon. It was pretty cool that the indy scene brought some life into a rather dead system with new games and ports. Luckily, fans can still relive those days via emulation like redream and flycast.
One of my biggest regrets…. After the Dreamcast came out, I didn’t have any money to buy it. So I took my older systems like the NES, Genesis, SNES and a couple others (which kept in excellent condition) and sold them for “next to nothing” to a game shop just to buy the Dreamcast. I love the Dreamcast but I still regret doing that.
*It saddens me how badly I treated my Dreamcast & my game collection. I had it for 2 years when the laser burnt out & rather than get my friend to replace it I packed it all up including the 80+ games & dumped it in my parents leaky shed. Years later unsurprisingly everything in that shed was ruined.*
Dreamcast always bring in my mind the Metropolis Street Racer game. Never played it myself, but I have videogame magazine from 2000 which reviewed it, and they stated it's pretty much Gran Turismo for Dreamcast :)
Hi currently have 160 Dreamcast games so another 50 or so for a full set. I also have a rare pal version of sega bass fishing that come with the fishing rod & samba de amigo with the maracas and dance mat both boxed and complete.
Could have bought a complete PAL Dreamcast collection a while back with all official accessories and games. But around 6000 Euro was a bit to much for me. I could have afforded it, but it would have wiped out a lot of my savings so I didn't.
Not sure if you've played it, but the Xbox 360 has a game called Vigilante 8 Arcade. It's one of the games that will be lost when the store closes. So if you're interested, buy it while you can!
I may have not grown up on sega, since I was more of a nintendo/playstation household. I still find it fun watching what libraries the system had though on what to offer. I am highly sure though i had enough money back then that kid me would've equally enjoyed it as my other two systems though. I did manage to get chances to play the system though through visintg my close cousins house growing up cuz they were a sega household though growing up. so i call that a win/win.
The Pro Pinball games were among most played games on the PC. I still have them even though I am not sure it is even possible to play them now (win95). I never did play the games when I had the PSX.
Cracking games, I still kick myself that I let Gauntlet Legends and Dark Legacy pass me by. I've got my entire DC collection in the loft here including Sonic Shuffle.
Cannon Spike and Rival Schools. two BIG hitters but 2 games i wish i had. Gunbird2 as well. Its nice to see i have most of those games though. Good find Gem
To have the entire collection you need to buy the Japanese Dreamcast games a lot of games didn’t get released to the west they cost $300 your crazy if your agreeing to pay scalpers anything
Nice PAL collection he got there, plenty of sought after games. When it comes to the games you picked up besides Sonic Shuffle, well let's just say that taste is subjective 😆
I got about 10 games for the dc but haven't played the system in ages, it's super yellowed. I saw side of my games in there. I don't see them much in the wild any more.
Rayman was definitely out of alphabetical order there. I enjoyed MTV Skateboarding, but Dreamcast's Tony Hawk games are much better. I played a lot of the Big Race USA pinball demo on PlayStation, so that Pro Pinball Trilogy is a nice set.
There's 217 PAL DC games? Where am I losing my mind as I thought there were 216 Inc Taxi 2 >_< Glad to see it wasn't just me that ended up with the none UK Grinch initially. That variant is actually crazy rare compared with the German counterpart.
@@TheGebs24 I have Taxi 2 but only 216 official PAL releases AGH what am I missing? 😅 Sega Swirl is the only one I can think of but that was a cover disc rather than a full release.
I was very lucky with family i guess, when it came too gaming. I just kinda remember though, from the CD32 up too the around 2000, gaming was insane. But it was like, i had a Mega Drive, then also wanted the SNES, then the Mega CD, then the CD32 came out..... But with that, you had the 32X, Saturn, Jaguar, 3DO, CDi.... then that flowed into the PS1, then Xbox threw their hat in the ring. As an adult, looking back now at the ripe old age of 44..... It was obvious that you could not have that many names all battling for the 32Bit or 64Bit title, there had too be losers. The Dreamcast was just a victim of the time, a real shame....... But it's great that nearly all the consoles, even the utter pap still get loved, like that poor battered mog the Jaguar.... That was such a piece of poo, i know it, but i still gave one a loving home last year and still play AVP to this day.

Great ep, I was liking the look of the Capcom fighters. Its a shame CvS2 was a Japan only release but the Dreamcast versions of CvS and MvC were better than other ports since the Dreamcast was very close to Arcade hardware used for those games, made by Sega.
Condition isn't important to jp and usa games. Just switch the cover out. You can beat pen pen In 20 mins, was a demo ish launch jp game. I only played 3 adventure games on DC, fur fighters, rayman 2 and code Veronica.
The pal editions look so much better than ntsc in my opinion. I kind of wish disc based consoles still used jewel type cases, but it is a little late now. I get that they are more fragile but they are so much more beautiful, more appealing to look at, and you value the condition and how they shine.

It's a shame what happened to the Dreamcast. It felt like Sega finally got it right after the failures of the Mega CD, 32X and Saturn.
