Thank you for the shout out 🙌
Thanks for sponsoring once again guys. Keep up there great work 🔥
@@TheGebs24 you too 🎮
hope you'll be selling the compendium this Saturday in Birmingham? 😃
Gotta say, Nina was really lovely when I popped in last autumn. Looking forward to going back next time down south. 👍
Nice. Let us know what you pick up
I always love seeing what’s behind the scenes. Sometimes wild things come in and the store owners hold them in the back for a while. It’s always cool to see the rarer and more fun items!
Love the super Mario bros wonder papers at the end. Those look like fun displays.
Love the obscure items!
Got to love the behind the scenes right?! 😃
Absolutely love the video! Always a pleasure to see you but having you this side of the counter was as exciting for me as it was for you x
It was SO much fun. You’re a mega legend and you’ve done so well. Keep rockin’ girl 💯❤️❤️
The Mega SG shown as the first trade-in is worth its weight in gold, as far as I'm concerned. I've had one since 2019, and I believe it to be the absolute best way to play Genesis/Mega Drive games. You can also play Game Gear and other Sega cartridge/card-based games with adapters made by the same company (Analogue). There's also a converter that they sell which will allow you to use the Mega SG on a CRT, if that's your gaming preference.
9:54 One of the best fighting games ever!
I have worked in a few retro games shops now and love it. My favourite was Predator Games in Garforth. Was a sad day when the owners decided to close the place down.
Great stuff, Gem. That first customer of the day wasn't screwing around. Those Polymega units aren't cheap...
This turned out to be one of my favorite video of yours!! A blast to watch!
great behind the sense vlog im going to see the shop after 1 & half years since summer 2022 & great loads of great games there with few stuff im looking forward to see the shop in person tomorrow great vlog Gem 👍
Hi Gebbs, I can't believe you knew your best old friend Nina 31yrs ago now & it's great to see you reunite with each other, Also it's so nice & amazing of you to go into a retro game store & there's so much more games to look at, I really enjoyed watching this video 😊❤️👍👍🕹🎮🕹
Is there a shop anywhere that doesn't have stolen Royal Mail Boxes 😂😂😂
Grading sealed mint games??? You need your brain graded Gebs 😀
I just realized the big three have cases matching RGB
Red: Nintendo
Green: XBox
Blue: Playstation
Now to arrange them as a Trinitron shadowmask!
I still have my copy of Chuck Rock for the Game Gear. 😂 What a wonderful store. ❤
Awesome to see the behind the scenes at my local store 👍 excellent video and it was very interesting
It was fascinating honestly.
What’s your desert island game lineup?
@TheGebs24 ooo that's a good question it would have to be handheld so I can walk around with it. A pokemon game would be the choice and probably the older games so pokemon red or blue.
What's your choice ?
Your friend Nina has a wonderful store packed to the brim with loads of great games !
Thanks Slayer
Nina is amazing! I wish I was in the UK so I could visit and support her shop.
I’m sure she would ship out to you 😃
Very interesting, cool to see what's going on behind the scenes in a retro game shop 👍
What game stores are in your area?
@@TheGebs24 Besides flea markets, there's just one retro game shop with additional arcade game room, place called Game Over. I'm in Finland btw.
We used to have GameStop, that's where I bought my Xbox One S console in 2019, but in 2020 GameStop left Finland. That was one source for used videogames.
There may be more in other cities in this country, but not anywhere near me as far as I know.
Good to see my silver ps2 that I traded in get some screen time and also the camo PS4 controller 😂
Really? No way! What did you trade for?
I always wanted an Analogue Sega NT. The grey/white version though. They did one for snes too but I think they've been discontinued and now working on an N64 console
Can also plug the 32x and Mega CD to that Mega SG
The Tower of Power right?
A surprise to see the Analogue SG. A Wonderful bit of hardware, best way playing Mega Drive and Master System on HD tv's!
I am 44..... been gaming since the ZX Spectrum days.
Iv'e seen games change and seen gaming evolve.... I don't what is is about the 90's era, but the
Mega CD
CDi
3DO
Jaguar.... They were possibly some of the biggest failures and flops of all consoles... The games were very FMV heavy.
But i love them lol..... I really did and still do.
Psychic Detective, Night Trap, Dracula, Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, Sewer Shark, Burn Cycle, 7th Guest, Cobra Command, AVP..... The games are amazing.
Nice vid, kept me going for a bit whilst at work.👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed
Yes Team Buddies one of my favourite Multiplayer games ever 👌👌
Nice. What is your overall fave ps1 game?
Great video as always. You off to London Gaming Market on Sunday? 😃
Sadly not. I’ll be at the Birmingham and Doncaster markets though
I bought the jaguar ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great video ! Thx 😊
What a great shop ♥️
I wish things weren't so hard for all shops these days.
Did you find out how things were going for Nina and her shop?
No that’s none of my business ☺️
I paid £8 for Discworld Noir second hand at Electronic Boutique next to Maccy D's in Derby City Centre in the year 2000 😅 Still got it
I still need to go visit this place.. we need to make it happen brev ❤❤
Oh mate it’s happening!!!!! TRUST ❤️❤️
I really want to visit this store but I'm a 3hr drive away maybe I need to plan a roadtrip 😊
Defo plan a road trip Luke
When are you going to talk about the 2 new TMNT games coming out ? I was surprised you didn’t do a short on it. Also you don’t have a discord?
Nina you are a wonderful legend my dear 🤌 absolutely love your shop ❤ and your Dad's ❤❤❤ an awesome episode as always sis ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hello Scotty Bro. We had some mint times in John’s didn’t we. Nina continues the legacy 😃😃❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Aww thank you guys xx
@@TheGebs24 time and time again, John's is a staple of our childhood! A cornerstone to say the least, and Nina is most definitely continuing a huge legacy ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@kirkbysalesexchange9113 your more than welcome dear ❤❤❤ your shops a true specimen of what a retro games shop should be 🤌
@@pingofthething5446 I remember seeing ROWS upon ROWS of SNES games in John’s back around 95/96. Mate them days ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yea that’s so true I’ve said things I was looking for and magically that item turns up a week or even months later in the charity shop so weird gota be something in that maybe I should keep saying I wanna find a silent hill or a parasite eve anyway thanks 🙏🏻
Hi Gemma I love the videos that you make and this was a different spin on the game Collecting Journey! my pal has an N64 FB Group and your more than Welcome to join it! I know you’re more of a snes collector but you have some N65 also. The name of the group is N64 PALS UK Europe Australia Collectors & Gamers my pals Miles Wyatt and he’s Admin. it’s a small but friendly group to be in. Thanks and keep up the great work! 🙂
Ooh did she just say getting video games graded would be a good idea?!
😬😬
I thought you was about to open your own shop Gebs, one day maybe...
I played chuck rock on the Amiga 500
As i always say you lot up north have the best retro shops. Its a drive for me but i might have to take a trip up there and see whats up. Im still after a master system after all
Nina has Master Systems in mate. I’m all for supporting the good people out here. 🤟🤟🤟
@@TheGebs24 Yeah i hear you. Well hopefully when i get the chance to go there she will have one still.
Great video gebs......i love this
Glad you enjoyed it
What amazes me is that people actually part with this stuff. I suppose they either totally lose interest or have, especially in today's climate, a financial need to do so. As of now I couldn't conceive of giving up any of my collection !
I played Chuck Rock on the Commodore 64!
I’ve never played it on the C64. Is it any good?
What that console thing called that man is showing at the start that plays megadrive and master system games?
It's called the Mega SG, made by Analogue (although not anymore, sadly). It's my go-to for playing Genesis games, as well as Game Gear games with an adapter also made by Analogue.
Epic GGG-unit !!!😎😎😎😎😎😎
I want that um jammer lammy
wow thats a serious bit a kit sega jailbreak! very impressive
Have you got a fave Sega console?
thanks for the reply mine favoutrite sega was the master system 2 loved playing Double dragon 2 player, and sonic builtin.started with master system from there i went to c64 favourite game was the circus game had that on cartridge and terminator was so hard to load on the tape, then I went on the Snes favourite game Mario kart the Lost Vikings, recently just rebought a snes with Mariokart I love the streetfighter soundtrack you use to start your vids having a channel since 2006 Your doing a brilliant job keep it up@TheGebs24
