This is one of those once and awhile teams that is just truly better than every other team. Tate would probably start at every other team in the country, Smith is a generational talent, Egbuka is potentially late first round pick, and that's just three WRs and OSU defense is probably its best unit. I mean my God. People that mention Michigan don't get it. This is a neutral field in a national championship game - they are bringing their A game, and likley going to win and convincingly. But I'll still be in Atlanta supporting the team, and if they pull it off, the year is historical magic. GO IRISH
Notre Dame can only win by establishing a run game early and often. J Love and Riley Leonard need to combine for 150-175 yards and they need to control clock and avoid dumb turnovers. OSU can win this game any way they want, but Notre Dame either wins very close or loses by multiple scores.
I see maybe one explosive play from either back but not a consistent effort gaining yards in the run game. This will be the most disciplined and gap assignment defense ND has ever faced.

They meant OSU hasn’t played a QB as good on the ground as Leonard and that’s true. Whether that matters is anyone’s guess until we see the game, but Leonard is by and far the best dual threat QB they’ve faced.
