County Commercial Cars Ltd of Fleet in Hampshire produced a range of world beating four wheel drive tractors from 1960 to 1983, most based on Ford tractor skid units. To promote their tractors the firm commissioned several short documentary films giving an unrivalled insight into County tractors at work in both agriculture and industry. Also illustrated in these films are the rigorous testing procedures for new designs and the assembly line at the factory in Fleet.
Four of these films are included on this DVD: - 'Down To Earth', Industrial Uses of County Tractors', 'We Breed Them Tough' and 'Power To Feed'. We also include a detailed company history using contemporary footage of County machines not featured in the archive material.
Presented by John Stovell, this unique programme is a fascinating tribute to the tractors built by County and captures the spirit of two decades of mechanised farming when four wheel drive County tractors were a real power on the land, to put it bluntly - They Bred them Tough!

But way more expensive. My dad has a restored county 1184 and its word 50,000 quid but his ford 7710 is only worth 15000 quid
