I can't believe they charged $5,000 for Oliver. That is crazy!! Poor Oliver, he just needed a good home, and he got stuck with greedy, uncaring people. Thank goodness you have him now!!
😢😢😢
I agree 💓
They possibly got word of the campaign for him... and that he wouldn't be left unbought to go for slaughter. I agree... the price compared to what you see in auctions on video seemed very high considering his poor condition.
On the previous auction video, JR tried to bid $3,500 for Oliver. The owner “no saled” at that price bc she wanted $5k. I don’t believe his price went up due to the campaign to save him. I do agree that his previous owner was selfish and greedy.
Completely agreed! He really worth a lot less but glad you bought him to care. He definitely a rescue!
I can see Oliver growing right into those Draft horse halters, no problem! So glad you found out about his parents and where he came from.
News about Oliver’s provenance at about minute seven.
I've been reading some of your comments, and it's amazing how many non-horse people (me included) that have been drawn by Oliver and your channel. Surely, God is in all this.
I love your channel. I love your faith and the wonderful way you treat your animals. You have an amazing way of working with all the horses. I started watching for Oliver but now I'm hooked. Thank you so much for being who you are and talking about your faith, it's just beautiful!!! This is my first comment on any UA-cam channel. ❣
People are good. I am glad you received all of this support to help heal him
You made us fall in love with a beautiful badly neglected sad horse at an auction and thankfully you were willing and able to rescue him and now we all just get the pleasure of watching you bring out the best in him
Oliver looks so much better and happier God must have guided you to each other I'm. Sure the Amish people are overjoyed to know that he is in safe hands the kindness of people is amazing to gift Oliver all those lovely presents my prayers are with you lots of love from me my puppy teddy and my two cats🐎😺🐕🐈🇬🇧🇺🇸
His original breeder giving ya’ll pointers for how to handle and help him regain his health is so heartwarming. Oliver is so blessed that ya’ll got him from that retched environment! I know he’s got a long road to recovery from the abuse and neglect he’s been through, but he’s young, and he’s got his momma’s temperment, so it’s only upwards from here!~ 💙
I am so happy that you have so many wonderful supporters out there helping Oliver. He is such a beautiful boy. I pray he will live to be a big strong healthy fella like in his linage. It's so sad he became infected with Epm.
He is in the best hands with you all. Our thanks and blessings for you and your family, and ofc for Oliver. 🙏💕
What I think you've got with Oliver is ...'A Diamond in The Rough.'.......
Mr.Oliver sure looks a lot better! Hoping and praying all goes to plan.
Rescues usually give back more in blessings for opening your hearts. I pray your family is so blessed and that Oliver grows into a happy healthy boy. You already made a big difference in Oliver’s life, he would have died in pain and now he has a chance to live. 🥰🐎💕❤️👍
Thank you to you and your family for sharing your lives and your homestead with us. So nice to see a family working together for a common goal. And thank you so much for rescuing Oliver.
I'm so happy 😊for you finding out about Oliver's original owner. I got tears in my eyes seeing what handsome guy he was with good care. I'm can't imagine how sad it was for his Amish breeder to see his condition now. I think he definitely takes after his dam in disposition. Thank you and all who have reached out to help Oliver. He's always in my prayers and when my vet bill is paid, I'd love to send him❤ a gift 🎁 too.
As Oliver would say . I GET BY WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS.
Just give him love and if he recovers fantastic if not well he belongs right where he is and is happy so just do your mágic and show him love and god will provide .
Hope Oliver become healthy and strong..❤️🌹❤️
Haha. She was tired that night. She had some smiles behind the camera that you missed.
@@homesteadhorsemanship oo sorry..i doesn't wand be rude.. 😭😀😘..i had see her smile..in other videos.. 🎉❤️🎉..
I do believe ...Oliver ate his way through that whole video. LOL
Yep. He eats his way through the whole day too🤪😂
What a great support you’ve formed for this beautiful soul that is Oliver!! Thank you!! 😊
Oliver is such a sweetie! I just want to hug him. And hug all of you that helped him get this wonderful new home. ❤💙💚💛💜
We have rescued many little fellers in our lives. We call them “Lottery Winners”. Oliver is certainly a Lottery Winner!
Your a kind loving beautiful family it shines through. Oliver is exactly where he needs to be. God Bless all❤🙏✌😊
Thank you for that❤️
Hi, what a beautiful video, Oliver in the back ground munching away on his food. Thank you all so much for saving Oliver. He is such a beautiful baby and deserves the best life possible. Lots of love to you all. Jill Birmingham U.K. XXXXXX
I am so glad you have Oliver to take care of and love. Blessings to everyone who helped rescue this beautiful horse.
He still has plenty of growth to come so he'll fit the halter later. He is the sweetest horse acts more like a dog. Definitely likes and trusts you guys.
Thank you ❤️
Oliver looks like a Very content little giant. That’s a beautiful thing after he was exposed to a horrific innocent while waiting to be rescued.
Oliver has a large virtual family, that loves and cares very deeply for him. ❤️
Thank you for sharing all of Oliver’s gifts. He will be the most pampered horse around now.
Please give Oliver a huge smooch for us. 😘❤️💕
Oliver, you deserve such a good life - you and all horses! You’re just lovely!😊
if you can find garlic flakes or powder for equines that will definitely help with the horse flies, not so much with the smaller flies. i have trouble finding the Powdered garlic but my horses love either kind and i love being around them and not getting bitten by flies!
For the strongest hooves add ¼ teaspoon of flowers of sulfur to his daily regimen. It also helps the coat come in so soft, and helps with shedding. Sulfur is everywhere in the body so its very important. I can't afford to send you any but the advice is free! ❤❤❤ to Oliver and everyone helping him.
I love that you videoed the opening of Oliver's gifts. I really enjoyed watching. I'm sure the kind people who sent the mahoosive head collars won't mind them being used by some of his new friends.
What an amazing response to beautiful Oliver with so many awesome gifts from such wonderful caring people, it’s lovely that you were able to find his parents too, he’s certainly going to be a big boy when he grows up bless him, and bless you all too for rescuing him and giving him the loving home and life he deserves, looking forward to seeing his recovery and watching him blossom, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
You should tape all his Amazon notes on a wall. It would be cool to see all the love sent his way ❤️ seeing all the love and gifts he is receiving reminds me of how great humans can be.
That is a good idea!
I’m so glad you received the draft girth I sent. I’m sure it’s too big now but I’m certain he’ll grow into it in no time!
Yes! Thank you! It looks huge now but I’m sure he will grow into it😊
The Budweiser Clydesdales Fort Collins: My Mother and I - both petite ladies - could walk directly underneath them. Memorable moment. Thrilling as walking under the Golden Gate Bridge, feeling the ENERGY.
fly issue: Check out Gold Star farm....video on 5 gallon bucket/wrapped in sticky tape/catches milllions of flies...
May Yeshuah face shine upon you and bless you!!
Oliver is so sweet. Thank you for all what you do too this horse. .Greetings from Monika
Black looks good on him
Great job. Thank you for sharing. Oliver is loved..💕✌️
So good to see Oliver again. He looks so happy and has a good appetite. I'm glad that my donation was helpful.
It for sure was! Thank you SO much Aletha! I’m not sure I got your name on this video or not. If not I’ll try to mention it in another one here soon!
It's enough for me to see how calm and happy Oliver is. The picture of when he was younger brought tears to my eyes. Such a pretty baby boy and he is still a pretty boy. If only he could talk and he would say how happy he is with his forever family. He really has taken to JR, actually right from the beginning!!!!!!!!!
So beautiful
May I suggest some netting for the flies.
I've been watching Rosa String Works for awhile and found you guys seperately and had no clue there is a commection!
😀👍🐎dont forget yourself guys . you all are awesome people .
I’ve enjoy your information. It’s been insightful. And your quest with Oliver. It has been wonderful. I was sad to see you need to sell those beautiful new horses so want to help.
Do you all know what was done (to the previous home) to make sure no other horses have to endure what he and the other beautiful horse did. Debbie Jay
He looks so much better already
Love from Guernsey Channel Islands ❤
❤❤
So special and nice all those people heelping you with oliver. Other channels have like wishlists oon amazone, so you will recieve what you think it's most important.
Colts or stallions can stay together when they have same hight and years. But also when they're in good health. Oliver is lucky to have so many people helping him to recover.👍
I am so glad you are there for Oliver. He seems to be a wonderful horse with a temperament to match. I think he is in good hands with you.
I really don't think all is really thinking that you aren't spending the funds correctly. Please just continue loving and feeding him for me for all of us 👏🏻😘😘😘😘😘
So glad you were able to track down Oliver's parents and breeder. Everyone seems to blame the Amish for everything that goes bad with draft horses and at least for Oliver this shows he was well cared for by them. I feel so bad for him and the other horses that are suffering the same fate at the hands of cruel humans and then blaming it on the Amish or other owners that farm with them. And yes I realize not all Amish are saints.
Yes, this man sounded like he really cared for his horses. And he new exactly who Oliver was also.
I live by Pullman Michigan, a small burg. But several miles from us us a little bigger town, but not much bigger. There are several Amish Farmers around that area. See their carts and carriages going down the road. There's one that has several Belgian type draft horses. They look like theory take very goid care of their horses and ponues. Their definitely not skinny. So yes, some Amish do take good care of their animals.
These videos are so sweet!!
I appreciate you taking the time to make all these videos. I'm sure he'll grow into all his tack as he fills out. Has his tail been docked or does he just have short baby tail?
Sooo happy you are the best family a horse like Oliver could have! Looking forward to his journey to his best health! Thank you for caring and giving him a home!
Loving the updates.
Thank you for sharing the story of Oliver, and thank you for your care. 🙋♂️🐈🐈
Mail and tame rope? Emeri you are the best.
Wait, you don’t know what a mail and tame brush is???….😉
~ Emeri
Bahaha. I didn’t catch that one!😂😂😂
Jr was to busy to film and as you can tell I’m not great at talking into a camera😂 so you will have to give me a break🤪
I may have missed it...but did you get Oliver's meds? Thank you for the updates...I really love Oliver and pray for the best for him.
Yes. Today is day two. We have a video coming out asap
Thanks for the response..
Does he need some kind of blanket to keep warm since it's been so cold lately
I am new to your channel and I am shocked that they charged you $5,000 for him. It looks like you saved an abused horse-good for you. Where are you located ? My son gave me a fly trap that worked amazingly well. It has bait in the jar and you mount it on a pole like a bird feeder. If I can find it on Amazon I will let you know. I had no idea we had so many flys around-it filled the jars right up.
That would be awesome if you could share what that was. Thank you.
What was Oliver’s original name ❓🤔. Can you announce the Farm Store we can order supplies for Oliver. Not everyone watches every video and they would not think to go into description section 🙏. I find it the most easiest way to help our Oliver from Australia 🇦🇺 💕💕🐨🐨🦘
Hey Florence. Yes, I’ll try to add both of those into the next video.
Sorry, I ordered from the Harrisonville Feed Store. I think you still were able to pick up the feed? Thanks for clarifying to use the Rolla store.
Hey. Did you just order or it was last week?
@@homesteadhorsemanship I got an email saying it was picked up 3/10.
Will Oliver’s calm disposition remain constant once he gets his feet back and healthy? From the videos I have seen it looks like he is aging backwards
I would say so but we will have to wait and see!
Can’t wait to see his mother. How old is Oliver now? Two years old?
The harnesses being too big got me wondering if the starvation he has suffered will stunt his growth any. Do you think that will impact his final size any or should he catch up?
BEAUTIFUL WONDERFUL PEOPLE HERE SENDING GIFTS THANK GOD FOR KIND HEARTED PEOPLE LIKE YOU ALL BEST ON EARTH
It’s amazing that the breeder came forward and said that he was healthy and was willing to discuss Oliver. That speaks volumes about the quality of the breader and then about horse traders. My heart breaks for that sweet colt and the misery he endured but thank God for his good fortune to find people that care!! Kisses to sweet Oliver!!
I agree. If things were sensible in this world, cruel horse traders would be arrested, shut in a small place, starved, no caring visitors, no medicines, no hygiene, no fresh water.
How does that feel, guys?
It was the original owner was willing g to talk. The 2nd owner sent Ollie to the auction I believe.
As you can tell from the generosity of your viewers, Oliver is loved as well as you and your family. Thank you for the update.
A baby Clydesdale shower ,
So cool
Good to see Oliver with this family
You were first again!
I know I'm not the only person who was heartbroken at that first auction, when you couldn't buy him. So glad you persisted! You can tell in the videos what a sweetheart he is. And that's kind of amazing.
can you post the link to THAT video?
Great video, nice to see Oliver the you tube family loves him to death. Glad you found his original owner who gave you information about him and even offered to help you. God bless you and the rest of your family for taking good care of Oliver. Keep posting the great videos on Oliver, he is a sweet horse and has stolen a lot of hearts.❤❤
I am so happy Oliver is with you. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
Sounded like trolling to me, Lawrence. Just be happy for him and his family!!
Poor Oliver. It's hard to believe that the previous owner had him at the auction as a no sale for $5,000. If you had not taken an interest in saving Oliver he surely would not have survived. You have a lovely family and their happiness and joy in helping him is heartwarming.
Hope he's feeling better since the vet visit! With all that's going on in the world, it's great to see so many good hearted people who still care.
❤❤❤ I am at home and disabled I lost 75% of my eyesight about 7 years ago and I was a real horse lover I can't ride right now I'm hoping someday I can ride again but seeing Oliver rescued and loved is helping my heart. Give him a hug from his auntie Kimberly😂
Watching from Australia. So good to have the privilege to share Oliver's journey with you. Well done for taking on this horse's needs and care along with the care and generosity of all those helping and contributing to you on this journey of bringing Oliver back to full health.
He’s adorable! Pleased he’s becoming an equine hero for so many. ❤️
God Bless everyone that has helped Oliver 🙏🏽👱🏻♀️
Oliver is a lucky horse to have your family
I'm sure Oliver would be happy to share his goodies with his fellow four-legged friends. He's such a chilled out lad
All the gifts are amazing. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 That's wonderful.
No surprise at all his mum is gentle. He's such a sweet horse. It's really nice seeing him eat. ❤
Wow, all of the donations and gifts for Oliver are so wonderful! You and your family are so wonderful in loving caring for Oliver!
Thank you! ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm happy to help Oliver. Since you received multiple halters, please feel free to exchange the halter I sent for a halter to fit any of your horses.
Hey! Thank you!
Thank you for sending him gifts. How kind of you.
Looking good Oliver! A big thank you to everyone who has supported and sent gifts for Oliver and all the horses.
How is the cute little pony doing? :)
Oh I forgot about him. He was two different colors I think. In my mind I was calling him little half n half! lol
Terrible what can happen to a healthy one year old in just one year after being sold.
There must be so many Olivers out there who have gone through the same.
Oliver is a beacon highlighting the plight of all those other one year olds... many of whom probably won't live to see a third year.
What you are doing for Oliver and involving so many people in making it possible is heart warming
Hopefully by next year Oliver will be a star, bright eyed, head proud and kicking up his heels in a gallop across the field! A UA-cam Star!
That 'facility' you **bought Oliver from was a ****** DISGRACE. How many of those horses have now died from neglect and starvation - are there no humane societies empowered to inspect and regulate living standards. I'm furious on behalf of you, and the horses.
I know this was in the past, and you've all moved on from it and got on with healing him and giving him the chance to fulfil his potential now he's grown and healthy. Thank you so much for that, JR and family. 🙏
*I was going to say "rescued" rather than bought, but I know you paid top dollar for him, which just adds insult to injury!
Such wonderful presents for Olly! It's like a big baby shower but for a sweet little horse 🥰 There are some loving generous people out there and Homestead Horsemanship is so sincere and appreciative honestly it's refreshing! Thank goodness for all of Oliver's fans and caretakers ❤.
While I was glad to hear about where Oliver came from originally, and I have always known those horse auctions are frequently not good places, I continue to find it very sad and very disturbing as to where Oliver subsequently ended up before he got to you. And I know he would have died had you not gotten involved. So a really big, heartfelt THANK YOU to HH and everyone who financially contributed and is contributing for Oliver. ❤🙏🐎👏👍
I hope that woman’s AWFUL starvation facility is shut down & she’s never allowed to keep, sell, starve horses again. Tragic hearing of the Clydesdales sick @ dying there. So sweet seeing Oliver tucking into his feed now. That Amish man must be so relieved you rescued Oliver. Oliver sure looked strong & healthy when he left the Amish breeder!
Wonderful to confirm Oliver had a good start as a baby- so important. Genealogy research is commendable and a joy to learn that mama was a gentle giant. Apple juice "CHEERS" to getting on with business as usual with Oliver in the ranks of a village of healthy happy humans.
My daily Thank you!!!!❤❤❤🐎 and WOW GUYS!!! Y'all are Awesome for doing all this for Oliver! I'm overwhelmed just watching all the stuff!!!😅👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤
Right! We were too!
Keep feeding and loving on that poor horse. I'm sure everyone is looking forward to seeing him get healthy again... I know I am! Thank you for the video update.
I theink Oliver felt a bit sad to be on the set for the inventory of his expense report from the new acquisitions committee. It’s all about the money I costed with these guys he is thinking. Horses (some, this one, plenty of others….aren’t just not dumb folks, they hear -and say-plenty.
But yeah, definitely keep feeding him, apparently he’s worth a lot of money!!
😂😂❤
…This video (posted four hours ago on march 16) seems a bit disconnected or out of sequence in terms of when Oliver (already) got diagnosed with epm thing, that was on the weekend wasn’t it?? It’s like today JR knows less than he did five days ago or something??
It’s a crazy amount of money to score off this poor guy. It’s just bad for his self esteem to make him part of this kind of conversation and then follow it up with this big fuss over his donations. I wouldn’t do it that way anyways.😮😢
@@Laurencemardon sir, why hate on these good people for doing a good thing. No one has to give a penny if they don’t want to.
@@Laurencemardon aka Troll. I think Oliver liked all his new things! I don't think the camera bothers him at all. He likes the company of people if u have been watching all the videos. He likes being cared for properly, and appreciated, talked to, included, pampered & LOVED. He liked the Purine equine feed they gave him, his bridle thing was a bit too big but he has some growing to do still...but he didn't even care when they tried it on him. He LOVES the apple treats that he will be sharing with his stall buddies cuz he got so many! And NO they didn't "score" off of saving Oliver. His price, travel expenses, his feed, his medicines, vet visits, & (farrier costs are higher for a Clydesdale usually) cost money that the previous owners obviously didn't fork out. The previous owner got 5K but do u think all that is going to properly care for a 100 horses down there? Why don't u go find out what those people are doing w all that cash, instead of trolling ppl that are trying to do good. I thought it was great that they showed his gifts & appreciated & recognized the people who gave them. And nobody cares if the video was "out of order" ....geez....get a life!
@@marionberry6909 Posters like this don't say these things because they hate these people, but because they don’t like themselves. They're usually lonely, jealous, and feel worthless. I pity them and hope they find happiness someday.
I'm sure this nice family knows on the internet there will always be someone willing to say these things, put them down, assign false motives, judge, and belittle their accomplishments. It's unfortunately what they face on these platforms.
@@CS-ki5uf hi cs im hardly trolling on them just observing his behaviour and saying you may want to consider…
The zimecterin, vet wrap and one of the salt blocks is from me. As someone who grew up with horses the zimecterin brand is what we always used. Vet wrap is just always nice to have and you never know when you'll need to use it, it can be used for any of the animals.
Awesome! Thank you Aimee! And we can’t agree more👍
$5000 for a sick, malnourished, half-starved horse? That's outrageous! I'm so happy for Oliver! He's such a good sweet boy and he never deserved to be treated so horribly. I love his story and seeing him grow and thrive under your excellent care will be a treat for all of us. I give God all the glory! ❤️❤️❤️
How wonderful your supporters are !!! Oliver is blessed ❣️ and he deserves it too.
He has the sweetest eye I've ever seen on a horse 💕💕💕 and I love that almost every time I see him he's eating 😁😁😁
Thank you for the updates.
I do hope there is a way to report the people who sold him to you for their disgusting behavior.
It was amazing how Oliver survived that long trip to his new home with you guys ,seeing how run-down he was. So good to see photos from previous owner/breeder, when Oliver was healthy. Lets hope the money you paid for him will go to help the other horses where you picked him up. I'm looking forward to follow-up videos. Judy from NZ.
Thank you to the nice people who donated gifts to Oliver, he touched our hearts in every way. I love Oliver, he’s a special boy. I hope to see more of him. Send him my love 💕, thank you to Homestead Horsemanship family for giving Oliver such a loving home. Xx🐴🐴🐴
So good that Olivers breeder is being helpful and caring.
Keep up the good work with him.
He sure is a loved horse💜
As a person who bred horses on a very small scale, this was my worst nightmare. That one of my "babies" ended up with someone who didn't care. So glad that Oliver found a good home after what he's been through.
