  • Todays episode will be taking a look at 10mm terrain, a fantastic scale to let your creative mood flow. I'll show you how to build a basic structure, but give you the blue prints to make larger and more complex builds.

    That is so effective ! Perfect for the beginner and you can add as much or as little detail as you need. I spent an age making this style of building, but by adding thin strips of card to show the various wooden beams. Looks nice but takes an age. I really like your idea here - very impressive.

      Appreciate it! I really love the simplicity of 10mm; like you said its up to you how much detail you put in. Anything to put nice, clean, terrain on the table! One table at a time!

    Dude this is the best wargame diy related video on UA-cam! 100% pedigree AWESOMENESS!!! Please make more like this. By the way. What kind of styrofoam did you use for the farmhouse? Is that the normal cheap white foam that you get for free in the box when you buy, let’s say a television??? If that’s the one.. How did you cut it so easily? Dude your a boss.

      Thank you so much!!! I have a few more episodes planned for the season, some painting, a major build, and some sneak peaks of a collaboration ;)
      As for the foam, Its NOT the cheap stuff you get from packing, that stuff is garbage haha. This is usually the type you find in a hardware store for walls, pink or blue is the most common sheets i get. And the cut is smooth with a sharp knife, I replace blades pretty frequently to maintain a clean cut!

    The highlight was the false prophet protester. And yes, I know the curse of being left handed.

      That protester has got to stop... he was getting to the point of having a fire barrel outside the shop...

    Did you seal anything before priming? I have heard that bare Styrofoam can get melted by primer.

    • @misterwaughmedia
      @misterwaughmedia  2 роки тому +1

      I usually prime with just black acrylic paint for terrain, and hand brush on.
      However, there IS a spray can that works on styrofoam! its from Army Painter, and was designed to specially not melt it. I endorsed it in another video, its great stuff.

      @@misterwaughmedia how do you think something like ModgePodge would work? Thinking it would offer a bit more protection, but wondering if it would result in the shallow lines getting filled in.

      Thank you!! its actually not that hard, I'm literally "Drawing" them into the material. Once you try it a couple times you figure out how much force is needed, and it goes super fast.

      To be fair, the disclaimer I made actually doesn't have anything really to do with that. It was to make a clear distinction its NOT for youtube-kids. (this is meant for Teens and older ect Not kid friendly)
      If your stuff goes on YTKids ,its even more heavily regulated and restrictive, and thats the last thing I want. Its hard enough actually making content on regular YT, so I was trying to side step as much trouble as I could.
      For crying out loud there is semi "Adult Content" on this damn site haha. Im the last thing they should worry about!!! Yet I got shadowbanned for nerf guns and dad jokes!!! - Rant over!
