    Dirk Nowitzki true definition of perseverance. After countless years of making the playoffs and sticking with the Mavericks. Through the good, the bad, and the ugly. Reaching the NBA finals and losing against the Heat in "06. Didn't ask for a trade or leave as a free agent seeking a championship contending team, such as other NBA players. To comeback 5 years later and finally reaching his goal! against the same team, it's just spectacular to watch and to see him achieve his dream. PHENOMENAL!

    • @sabishiihito
      @sabishiihito 9 років тому +1

      +BballLover702 Amazing how little parity there is in basketball (and I'm not complaining about that). If you go back to the 91 Finals until now, there are so many multiple championships by a just few teams.

    • @ValerieLoveTV
      @ValerieLoveTV  9 років тому +7

      +sabishiihito The 1970's arguably had the most parity. From 1970-1979
      New York Knicks (1970, 1973)
      Milwaukee Bucks (1971)
      Los Angeles Lakers (1972)
      Boston Celtics (1974, 1976)
      Golden State Warriors (1975)
      Portland Trail Blazers (1977)
      Washington Bullets (1978)
      Seattle Supersonics (1979)
      Compared to the other decades
      1959-1969 Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers
      1980-1990 Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, and Detroit Pistons
      1991-1998 Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets
      1999-2010 San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics
      2011-2015 Dallas Mavericks, Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, Golden State Warriors
      With how stacked the Western Conference any number of teams can realistically win the West, but a Cleveland Cavaliers dynasty could also be possible under David Blatt and if LeBron James keeps his superstar talent over the next five years.
      EDIT- Forgot to include the Pistons in 2004 and Celtics in 2008. As a bonus, it should be mentioned that of during the 1980s the Pistons only won in '89 and the Sixers only one in '83. The Sixers also ended the Boston Celtics 8 championship streak in 1967.

    • @sabishiihito
      @sabishiihito 9 років тому

      ***** You forgot Detroit in the 1999-2010 era so that's 5 teams, but SA had 4 and LA had 5 so it looks like more parity than there really was. Those '60s and '90s though...lol rough times!

    I don't know why people keep asking where the 2014 Spurs championship clip is when not only does the court change at 6:30 but literally seconds later you hear Mike Breen say "The Spurs are the 2014 NBA Champions." With that being said, I will update the description with timestamps for every championship.
    EDIT- Also, I'm tired of people asking what the song is when it's in the description. It's Ludovico Einaudi- "Divenire"

      That series was fixed for the spurs because Stern was mad about the malice at the palace. Game 7 had 18fouls called on just Ben/rasheed wallace & Mcdysse. Sorry but the spurs weren't that good they they called horrible fouls the entire game on all the piston big guys so Duncan could nobody left to guard him. Pistons were winning until all 3 fouled out and were in the penalty. Fuck you David Stern.

Trust me bro, definitely not a bandwagon. I even have a "We Believe" shirt from back then lol. If you remember Don Nelson was the coach and I really liked his take on Basketball. So call me what you want, because the Warriors have always been my team. It's ironic bc we won a Championship? No. I've been through all the hard times with this team, Curry fucking up his ankles time and time again. Not making the playoffs so many times. So whatever you think bro. +TylerSSX3 Don't worry about these idiots... Enjoy your team's championship run, for it was something special. I'd personally love to see a rematch next year with both teams at full strength (meaning Cavs, really) with Kyrie and Love healthy. Just from a basketball fan point of view. I'm not a fan of either teams. I'm a Lakers fan and we suck right now and realistically, we don't have much of a shot at the playoffs, let alone the Finals.
      I think that series would go to 7 games and both teams would be so fucking exhausted by the end of it. It'd be great and I still don't know who would win. Would be cool to see.

    That timeout by the Pacers around the 2.5 second mark KILLS me. Seeing Reggie and Larry in such pain, waiting to get on the court to accept their bitter defeat. Another ringless season for Reggie, and Larry getting beat by the purple and gold AGAIN. Breaks my heart for 2 of the greatest players to grace this game.

    When I teach shooting the target is the back of the ring and the spin assist the ball to go down as it is a back spin.

      They are called the world champions because the NBA is the premier basketball league in the world, so the champion is the best team in the world aka the World Champions

      Josh Callaway Bullshit, no matter if the NBA is the best in the world, its not a world championship! The winner is the NBA champion, neither more nor less.

      this series won't be as close as the GSW-OKC series. cavs don't have what it takes to beat this Warriors team.

    Amazing as Lebron malone James is, he finds a way to dissapear in big moments.
    2007 Finals - 35% FG and 6 turnovers a game, missed game tying shot, Game 4 he had 20 bricks, 6 TO, & 2/6 FT losing by 1.
    2008 - 35% FG, 5+ turnovers a GM, 2/18 FG 10 turnovers in GM 1 with a missed game tying shot,
    2010 - the famous quit game in GM 5, 34% FG and 6 turnovers a game in GMs 4-5-6 vs Boston
    2011 - no defense, outscored by a bench player, avg 2 ppg in 4th Q, ONLY 8 pts in GM 4.
    2014: -STAT PADDING
    -Outplayed by kawhi leonard in GMs 3-5. 8 pts & 7 turnovers last 3 QTRS of GM 3, only 9 points in first half while spurs opened 25 point lead in GM 4, no points in 2nd half until spurs go up 21 in GM 5.
    -2015: 39% fg. with 5 mins left in 4th QTR & OT of finals was 6-24 fg. #clutch!
    remember when lebron said if he took 37 shots he'd average 60 or 70? look it up. nba finals determined that was a lie

      Lebrons supporting cast in the finals.
      2007 loss-59th
      2011 loss-10th (only loss that he should have won)
      2012 win-21st (as an underdog)
      2013 win-38th
      2014 loss-53rd
      2015 loss- 58th
      He had no team whatsoever so any team could basically zone in on him and help off their man. Basically he was playing 1 on 5. Also u can see his two winning teams were average or slightly above average. Proving he doesnt need a "stacked" team to win. Just a slightly above average team

      iJustGotLucky you just put random numbers beside years and ignore the hall of famers and allstars he played with

    • @iJustGotLucky
      @iJustGotLucky 9 років тому +4

      Its the per rank of the supporting cast he played with in the finals. Meaning if they played good there "random numbers" would be better. And name 1 hof hes played with besides a old washed up shaq and d wade

      Moses Maestro A Convenient of you to leave out his 2012 and 2013 numbers.
      Also, how exactly do you pad stats when you're scoring 28 points on 57% overall and 40% 3PT shooting?
      I don't like the guy anymore since he left Miami, but you're just blindly hating. He was the only reason why the Cavs were any good from 2003-2009, and the only reason they made it to last year's Finals, too.

    We should've won in 2010 and got 2 championships in 3 years, lakers you lucky Kendrick Perkins was out for season in game 6 in the first quarter, we were up 3-2 going into game 6 of the 2010 finals and when Perkins got hurt we fell apart and got crushed by like 15, but in game 7 we would've EASILY WON because we didn't have Perkins and only lost by 4, lucky lakers, but we should have banner 18 up in the raptors
