What a great video, I am 6 month post stem cell transplant, after stage 4b Mantle Cell Lymphoma diagnosis, I was treated using the Nordic Regimen, a combined chemotherapy treatment R-Chop consisting of
Rituximab, Cyclophosphamide,Doxorubicin, Vincristine, and a targeted drug in my case a steroid called Prednisolone.
I am 56 and had arthritis in my left knee due to a sports injury, but this is now more chronic, with pains in my hips, knees, ankles and shoulder joints.
While the chemotherapy saved my life, I am suffering from the side effects of both the R-Chop and the autologous stem cell transplant.
I am hopeful one day I will start to get back to being pain free. 🙏

I had chemo and radiation back In 2019 and have been taking Tamoxifen ever since, my knees, feet, ankle, shin bone and muscles ache so bad I limp and walk like I'm about 90 years old,.Ill be 46 this year, I can't even jog anymore, seems my knees won't move faster no matter how hard I try, I take Tylenol Arthritis to ease the stiffness just so I can walk and work (I stand at my job for 8.5 hrs a day and struggle to walk after my work shift.. ) ugh.

JOAN!! I just found your channel. I am close to 4 years out from my experience with Burkett’s lymphoma. I am still crawling out of this fatigue hole and dealing with all kinds of aches and pains (and brain fog) that weren’t there before! I look forward to viewing your other videos. Thank you for sharing your experience and research. You look great!

My Mediport was infected because I started chemo 2 days after it was inserted and the nurse had to fiddle with the tape. Because my white cell count was so low the infection lasted a month but eventually went away. The conscious sedation is nothing. I wasn’t really aware of anything, no pain or cutting. The Mediport is so much better than needles because the chemo needle is a bit larger than regular ones used to draw blood. It’s been a month since my MediPort was removed and my scar is lumpy (which may be in part due to the initial infection). I purchased something called CicaTape which is a silicone tape that self adheres. I saw photos of people with all kinds of scars, some really nasty and large, who used this product and the reduction in scarring was amazing!
