  • How to hem a banner with banner hem tape. This video will show you how to easily hem a banner with Banner Ups TigerTape. Step one apply banner hem tape to the edge of the banner. Before removing the banner hem tape we recommended pre-creasing the banner edge. Step two with the edge weighted removed a small section of the backing liner. Press that section down and continue to work your way down the banner edge by removing the liner and pressing as you go. Use a roller or squeegee to do a final press on the folded hem. Repeat these steps on all four sides of your banner.
Once the banner is hemmed apply grommets into each banner corner. For tremendous additional strength apply Banner Ups BravoTabs in combination with the grommets.

I appreciate the video and believe the reinforcing with tabs makes a difference however, the closeness to the edge, the speed they pull the lever, it all matters. But it did make me giggle. Thanks for the helpful info and the laugh.

Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching. Your comments are spot on. The key point is that our tabs and tape disburse the wind load over a much larger area of the banner media than grommets, and that is why they will withstand much greater wind in real world applications. If you want a really dramatic illustration of that, watch one of our Banner Ups Wind Tunnel Test videos. Just a warning - strap yourself in and enjoy the ride!
