Thanks for another great video! Bonus points for getting the shot of the huge piece of equipment which now has shiny new arrestors! Outstanding work, as always.
Some nice work. I love the view of the prints. Nice to see the assembled part and the machine it's goes in. Enjoyed watching as always. Keep up the good work.
Yup. I get what that arrestor is doing. Surprised they didn't go with safety wire it instead of split pins. I'm funny like that. Always like safety wire and lacing cord.
Nice work Chris. If you don't mind me asking what type of coolant is used in the smaller lathe in the second half of the video? It's blue and milky looking. Thanks, Ken
Uhhg. I wish I could afford a standard bed ways CNC lathe. I don't need no fancy slant bed, or rotary tool changer... Just a standard Teach CNC lathe...
@@ChrisMaj worst is when they fly into my face, then burn me face or beard, also thank god for cheap safety glasses, those things saved my eyes like 6-7 times now from lathes trying to injure me
We do have few big machines and the oil cooler unit on the machine right behind me is really loud. Maybe I could fix it in editing, but I don't have the time. That youtube thing is already taking more of my time than I anticipated.
Gday, I don’t normally watch CNC channels but yours I do like, certainly makes some decent swarf, cheers
Yeah, cnc is what I do. I don't do commentery, so what you see is what you get. Some people people like it, some don't.

I like that you show the function of the parts! 👍👍👍
Greetings from Dresden! 🍻😎
nice video, i like your lathe work so much. greetings from germany
Great Video Chris nice to see some stainless steel being machined.

Nice lathe work, every moment was spot on from the process execution to the feeds and speeds. !
Nice bit of turning and great set up thanks for sharing 👍
Excellent programming and lathe work.
ciekawa praca zawsze cos innego do zrobienia pozdrowienia z Polski
Thanks for sharing 👍
A good turner can be recognized by the chips. A good turner does not use stupid cycles from the manufacturer, but makes his own.
Its so nice👍👍👍
nice work
Nice job...
Nice blue coolant on the plunger part. 🤪
Wow, that was some wild and scarry swarf coming out at you during those first two grooving operations. Certainly no time to check reddit.
These would do some damage.
try a round insert and adaptive toolpath for roughing those large grooves.. it will speed things up.. :D
That plunger looks like the sort of mace you'd get if you asked for "a modern take on art deco."
Yup. I get what that arrestor is doing. Surprised they didn't go with safety wire it instead of split pins. I'm funny like that. Always like safety wire and lacing cord.
We are rebuilding that whole thing. Old one came in with no wire or pins and that thing was in the service for quite some time.
Good evening, I wanted to ask you why you did the second throat with a 5 mm tool and did not use the 8 mm one, it would have avoided a tool change
it's so tiny, hehehe. nice job.
good part:)
Pressure turning that big log! Impressive. Any idea how much force the tailstock is providing? As always , great stuff.
Have no idea, always going by the feel.
Hey chris,
U didn't have to re-center the plunger after roughing it?
Beacause normally stainless steel bends/deform when u cut so much out of it.
Stayed nice and straight.
Nice work Chris. If you don't mind me asking what type of coolant is used in the smaller lathe in the second half of the video? It's blue and milky looking. Thanks,

They are trying some new stuff, but I don't even know the name of it. I'll have to look it up on Monday.
Pretty agressiv cutt on the stainles steel

Hii
Sir
Which make cutting oil use for this machine
how many inserts do use for the roughing phase
One insert corner for both parts and it's still good for more.
Can u please show a video, how to program in guide

ahh dont you love it when you're turning a piece and the metal chips are so violent they are trying to burn and cut you?
And your brain is messing with you " touch it, I dare you to"😅

how to offset tools for this machine
С ума сойти сколько лишних операций.
Да у нас в России токарь на сдельной оплате не заработает не то что на масло но и на хлеб.
why is it so damn loud in your shop

@@ChrisMaj i wouldnt worry about fixing it, was just wondering lol
