There is nearly every Wednesday an Audience. Tickets you can get for free with reservations advanced at the Pilgrim sites. Do not pay for that it is free. The audience is much better event if you like to see the pope.

Yes we have been to the Wednesday audience as well, ideally you do need to get the free reservation tickets in advance. Sunday is an easy way if you are in a time crunch :)
