Thanks for the shout out man! Love your stuff
Tim Pierce and Ola Englund is the crossover I didn't know I needed until now. Let's see it happen.
OMG - yes!
that would be awesome!
Yes!
+1
I’d watch that!
You know... it's a pleasure watching Tim's videos, because he clearly loves what he does and loves being an educator. And he has just the BEST GUITARS!!!
That amp sounds AMAZING; rich tone and clear note definition at all levels of overdrive. With 3-band tone knobs and smooth gate controls, it's a home run!
Tim is such a cool guy, so down to earth and humble ... love this channel 🎸🎸❤❤
Would love to get a bad cat! That one does it all! Didn't expect the Ola chug session!
When will these TELESCAM rip-off comment replacements be removed by UA-cam for good? Its so insulting to the intelligence? Ass-excavations !!!
@@shovington67 dude it’s obnoxious. But I’m not convinced they aren’t benefitting from it one way or another.

"Chug session"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow love that amp review. My favorite guy, Steven Wilson, has been using Bad Cat amps for a while. Now I know why he likes them. Very versatile
Always great information from your posts! Thanks, Tim.
Just purchased a Bad Cat 1x12 combo! Very versatile and built beautifully! I'll be taking it to rock the great beyond when my time in this life is done!
Thanks Tim. Exceptional sound. Concise too!!
🎄⛄
Nice… tone works for that bag and nice camera work introducing the mic pre, mics, etc. very cool
Just Hung out with John, and picked up a Lynx! he has NOTHING but High praises of you Tim!
Tim, time to give up and admit it, you love the 80s hi gain sound. Whether this video or the SLO video your expressions give away just how much you like it every time you go back to it.
@Tim, I've been a lurking follower since Rock Beato put you on my radar when you both melded over Larry Carlton's Kid Charlemagne solo---still incredible after all these years, both the solo, and your video about it---so cool to get to partake, even vicariously!
Thank you for so many hours of pure pleasure---
Rick Beato, though I guess "rock" works, too. Two of the best educators out there, both of you...
Ola Englund must be very happy to hear that 😀 thank you !!
Great video. Thanks so much. Always enjoy your videos.
Fantastic playing Tim!!
I've been an unabashed Mesa fan boy for years, but Badcat absolutely killed it with their line up. There isn't a single model I didn't love the tone from.
The Lynx absolutely kills the heavy while fat sounds yet still keeps things pretty well defined. It's like the tone I've had in my head came alive.
Love your videos Tim! Thanks!
Has a beautiful glassy clean tone !great tone!!!
What a great sounding amp. So much body and girth. I'm loving it.
Ah your speakers at 25W Celestions! Thanks Tim! Love the detail you provide in your videos.
Both channels on this amp sound gorgeous, in every demo I have yet heard. Haunting Reverb for a deal on a used one.
Nice sound. Thanks Tim
WOW! Amazing vid. Cheers man!
This guy can play anything on anything anytime and its absolutely amazing, this is a true guitar player.
Hey Tim! Long time subscriber, just watched the live aid video again, and realized how much work you were doing with Rick. Seriously one of these days we need a run down on that white strat. Gtr synth? While we're at it the "love somebody solo" always been a fave and my vote for best 4 bar solo!
great video, Tim!
That’s one beautifully saturated tone. The playing of course embellishes that quite perfectly as always
Nice Tim! You're an awesome musician.
Man - sounds great EVERYWHERE!
🤘💜💥
Amp sounds killer! Great playing Tim!
A plug for your masterclass. Bought it for the kids, using it myself! Highly recommended no matter your style or playing level. $$$ well spent.
All though I am not a guitar player. I really do appreciate how you find your place in any song you do and do not over stay your welcome be it with Rick Springfield, Peter Cetera, Phil Collins.
Always enjoy your work with Rick from Success Hasn’t Spoiled Me up to Tao. I always wonder it Tao was hard to make has that seems more Synth heavy. I can detect your playing on it but it seems so different.
Plus SFO from Hard To Hold it just
sounds like you and Rick was having a blast just rocking out.
Guitar is awesome and so is the amp-- really great sounding thanks
Really nice sounding amp and really versatile...wouldn't mind having one!
The Bad Cat sounds killer love the on board noise gate
Hi Tim . I hope you and your Family are doing well and staying safe .
I absolutely love every one of your Videos and your Channel . All of your Content is treasure . One of your Videos from last year you were showing examples of your Rhythm playing styles and you also explained why you sometimes used different Picks . Such as the Dunlop Purple Sharp . My Question is , when playing Lead Solo's , if you're using that Pick do you prefer Alternate Picking or Economy Picking ? Thanks Tim . I hope you're doing well . 🎸
You are the best Tim, I'm looking so long for getting me some lesson time from your skillset. Unfortunately I wasn't able due to "no time", "later", "I keep the free period" ... I'm now close to say "ahh... get it. He's the best!"
Would really like to meet you in person, you always seam to be such a nice guy to hang around. Unfortunately you and also me are very busy all the time. Maybe one time.... Keep on going, you are the best!
Steven Wilson uses the Lynx..and I think that it is the best overall amp for what I want to hear. Great job, Tim.
Would be fun to see you and Ola have a chat. I also have no idea where it would go, but, it'd be a lot of fun.
Sounds fantastic!
Sounds great, Tim.
Really great review. A new subscriber here.
Awesome sounds❤
Sounds incredible 👍
Love, love, love that tone!!
Unexpected Ola Englund crossover!
Tim Pierce chugging does my heart good!
Bad Cat makes awesome amps! Played one some time ago and was pleasantly surprised as never heard of them until my first guitar teacher had one.
I watch Ola's Will It Chug as well.
Great video! I have had the Bad Cat Lynx X since it came out a few years ago. Got it for the high gain, stayed for the cleans! Such a fun amp. Playing the Lynx through the Bad Cat 4x12 cab or an oversized Mesa is the perfect combo.
If you had to choose between the bad cat 4x12 or the Mesa 4x12 which would you choose? I’m facing a similar decision haha
@@jarredbaca8112 honestly, it’s a
Tough call. I believe they are the same size. The bad cat is extremely heavy. It’s amazing. It’s probably a toss up on speakers at that point. The bad cat speakers are a little warmer to me than v30’s. I don’t know what Mesa is using now. But the UK made celestions bad cat has made for them are killer. I’d personally go bad cat. You can sit in front of those speakers for a longer period of time without ear fatigue
Superb!
great tones!
Sounds great, pretty versatile amp with a good bit of snarl.
Sounds Great
BadCat is a subjectively hidden gem in amplification. Soo good!
This sounded pretty darn good. The great thing about this jam room is that you could put a 20 lb turkey in there at the beginning of your session and it would be ready by the time folks start to show up for dinner. My room gets warm with just one tube amp running.
Steven Wilson uses this amp live. One of the best rock sounds I've ever heard
There are so many great Amps. It all depends on your taste. My favorite is Fender, Marshall, and Mesa Boogie. Take care. 😎👍👌💯. We never really grow up. We just get older. Good video by Kemosabe. 😉😉
Pretty durned amazing sounds! And yes, IT CHUGS!
I’m loving that Floyd Rose guitar!
As far as the amp is concerned, I’m pretty impressed. I really love that first channel.
Sounds immense !
That is a great amp. I love them. I don’t have one yet but i will at some point.
OMG. I need to buy that beautiful guitar from you!
Noooo you sold the vh4!! My dream amp, especially after you showed its versatility in your demo.
You’ve gotten Good at this video stuff. Chug a lug my buhruhthuh 🤙🤙
That Amp is Bad Ass like your playing!
Wow - sounds awesome.
I’ve always wanted to play one of these guitars
Great run through video Tim, thanks for your time, hard work, and sharing. If your able please keep them coming, twice a day isn't too much. 😂😂👍👍👍🥃Respect to you mate.
Much respect Tim...
Sounds great! Not just Ola will be happy, probably even John Petrucci!
FABULOUS sound!
Very nice!
So cool to see a high-gain amp demoed by someone who's not a metal shredder 👍
Yeah!!!!!! Tim doing the chugs.
That built in noise gate is amazing.....not super chuggy, though 😂
It is… believe me. Super chug.
@@JonBingham well, not those examples at the end. From other areas in the demo, it seemed like a good boosted metal tone could be dialed in.
Stick an SD-1 in front of it.
a nice tight chug
The only problem I have with gates is holding a note. I got around it by using a Boss Feedbacker. Booster. Works great!
Ola mention made me smile.
I thought the high-gain lead channel sounded very Dann Huff when he was in Giant. Which means it sounds great!
This is the FINAL SET UP!! You can play everything!!
Incredible sound! If only I could afford it. Hehehe
Question! At 2:00+, how is he getting that really open delay sound? Seems like there’s a big reverb on it, but my big reverbs seem to be really messy and now nearly as clear as his own. I think I’m doing it wrong.
Thank you!
Awesome.
Hey Tim Man...
Do you play tele's very often ???
I got a cheap copy and fixed it up...
...it sounds awesome...
Evh amps are my one trick pony for dirt ! Love the bad cats as well though!
Perfect for 90s glam rock a la CC de Ville
Just noticed the huge pick for the first time!
I like every sound out of that amp except the full gain thing. It's just so bloody '80s to me. But the broke up / overdrive tone is pretty great.
A Chug is a palm muted note or notes, mostly downstroking, giving you that powerful and percussive sound.
Steven Wilson plays that amp. It's great!
Killer tone, Sir. Brilliant playing as always.
Tim could make a Peavey Bandit sound good.
The noise gate and whatever tweeks they did sound much nicer overall than my experience trying the older version.
you don't need to use the noise gate, eve if it is nice...the amp is very quiet for the gain (monstruos gain) it has....i play heavy rhythms and solos with master at 0,5 with gain at 3/10 or less without the need of any pedal or boost....and I have Masotti/Mezzabarba, 5150 III, Engl and Diezel VH2 amps
the only thing neede with this amp is to change the stock V1 and V2 preamp valves with better ones (TAD, 7025 EH - this one great on V1)
Curious why you let go of your VH4? That amp seemed to cover quite a lot of ground. Great playing as usual!
Thinking about selling mine as well and wondering the same thing!
Yes, it def chugs!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘
Enjoying Sir Timothy's thorough enjoyment of discovering the Joyous tools of the day is so very, well...Enjoyable. To me it is anyways.
Will it chug?!
Tim Pierce can be unexpectedly awesomer 😄🤟🏻
Oh! I kinda like that amp! (big grin)
Hey thanks for the comment!
