The rules should be you keep 1 card per pack, and at the end, you pick the best card out of those.

Neither seem to know that the Garnett Rookie only came in series one, there was only a veteran/rookie insert of garnett in series two & its just not that valuable.

Geoff didnt spot his Refractor too. He's too superficial. Need to do his Homework. He did not have deep Hobby Knowledge. But hey price checking, investing and flipping working good enough i hope.
I suppose breaking wax is a "gamble" but if you're going to break wax you would be better off by far breaking cases than a box, because at least with cases you get the case hits and numerous box hits etc so you're guaranteed higher-end cards you're not guaranteed if you broke a box or two.... I mean I pretty much exclusively do hockey myself and when it comes to Upper Deck - I do have some issues with them, but value per box isn't one of them - so when I break hockey I'm confident I'm going to get what I paid out of it, but most of the time I usually do pretty well... So at least to me it's not a gamble - not only that but the "breaking experience" itself is worth a few bucks alone.
Those cards with the black cover were called mystery finest. You can have boardered and boarderless refractors. PSA used to grade the unpeeled version but no longer do. I have an unpeeled Jordan.

That Topps Finest box smells of a searched box. Outside of Barkley, Rodman, and the Magic, there weren't even any all-stars in the entire box -- no Payton, Miller, MJ, Pippen, Shaq, Kemp, etc. -- very odd.

Pretty certain the Rookie of Garnett only came in series one, only inserts of rookies came in series two, the odds is not even closely in their favor at pulling the mj refractor.

I saw in a video with she collects cards that you like Justin Herbert... and you purchased a Gold Kaboom Herbert.... In January I purchased a RAW Justin Herbert PANINI HONORS auto #1 of 49.... I paid $1,500 on Ebay... I sent the card into PSA and it came back graded a Gem mint 10.... I’m listening to offers... and will sell for the RIGHT PRICE... it’s #1... I love #1 cards.... I will be listing it on ebay probably in August or early September.. or like I said I’d sell it now for the right price.... Love your videos.

1980 o pee chee hockey( Gretzky 2nd year, Messier rookie) had scratch off pucks in the bottom corner that revealed the name of the player. I believe they go for alot more unscratched)... maybe those black film cards are the same....edit: sure enough with the coating left on, worth much more on PSA

From the many videos on UA-cam opening old wax (including the 1988 Fleer PSA reveal last week), it really shows that it's best to keep these old boxes sealed. It's a different story with the new sports cards though because there are waaay more hits in the ultra modern boxes..

The mystery refractors peeled off easy peasy back in the day. I hit 2 borderless Shaq and Jordan back in the day. I still have one each I think in my collection. The reg. Mystery were orange in color. The Borderless were blue in color from what I remember.
The black cards are what finest called mystery finest. they did it for a couple years. So that was normal.

it looks like ebay is now issuing unpaid item strikes if a seller cancels your item. now I can't bid with many large sellers. so if the market tanks ebay will be partly to blame. what has gotten into them with their draconian policies? I hear they are asking sellers to upload photo ID now as well. we need to boycott them and move to amazon, bonanza, ebid , mercari.
