An easy solution to the squatter problem, which was successfully used to get squatters out of a home. You draw up a rental agreement with someone else, wait till the squatters leave and bust in. Change all the locks and then wait on the police. The police will confirm that as the person has a written agreement they can stay and the squatters must leave.
A woman drew up an agreement with her son who then took back their home....cheaper/and quicker than going through the courts and also 100%legal
The fact that they have to do that at all is just sad. It's *your home.* Why should you get arrested/kicked out of your own home by some random people who decided to bust in? It makes no sense, and it's stupid.
I always feel bad for those “alpha male” boot camp attendees. They’re paying that wild amount because they actively want to be better husbands and fathers… but they just don’t know how. They need mentors who are at least two generations older than them who have had successful and quality marriages. Those are the ones to whom they should give their time. Not these pathetic scam artists who take advantage of an honorable desire to be better.
Someone died at there camp recently. Mostly because those “professionals“ couldn’t tell somebody was going into cardiac arrest.
That and this whole thing could never work to begin with. The drill sergeant thing is done to get the alpha male OUT of a person.
The military doesn't want random ass soldiers constantly going off and doing their own things or trying to make power plays. A soldier needs to be a piece in a cohesive unit.
One of the hallmarks of an alpha male is that they consider themselves more important than anyone else. So when real action starts they're either gonna charge in like they've got plot armor and get themselves killed or they're just gonna bail to protect themselves and screw over their unit.
So, especially given how young new recruits usually are, basic training is largely spent breaking down the fight in a person to make them obedient and committed to the group.
The opposite of what these dudes are going for. (not that being an alpha male is even good to begin with)

They always consider themselves the smartest person in the room and are always the most important to themselves. They don't take their ideas getting shot down well. You absolutely do NOT want an "alpha male" as your leader. They're overly aggressive and mean to the people who are below them, resent the people above them, and do everything in their power to steamroll their equals.
They're the cuthroat guy on Survivor who everyone watching sees as the villain.
Plus, basic training in the military isn't designed to develop leadership. It's basic training, you aint getting put in charge of jack shit. At that stage you're just becoming a soldier. You don't even know what all to do, the hell would they want the know nothing newbie being a leader for?
And when you've got just out of high schoolers making up the majority of basic training you have to get the fierce independence out of them. They HAVE to work together and they HAVE to think as a unit or else they're a liability.
When they want you to take a leadership role THEN they'll build you back up.
But the vast majority of the military is going to be mere worker bees, so that's what basic training, and the drills in it, makes them.

That's where the concept of the alpha male came from. It became mainstream 90s with tabloid rags praising and then overwhelmingly attacking the concept.
What you've just stated was almost certainly parrot from those 90s tabloids that didn't even look at the research.
And going by the original concept. Every military unit would have an alpha. The commanding officer. The person who is at the top of the hierarchy and responsible for those below them. In the business world, it would be managers, heads of departments, and the CEO. In sports, it would be the team captain or the coach.
Alpha is more of a position than a personality.

My issue with the Tomb Raider thing being change is that it should be perfectly fine to have and discuss and engage with 'problematic stuff' in fiction. Complrtely erasing or sanitizing them from everytjing would just worsen the ignorance of people in the long term just to pacify their sensibilities in the short term.
I totally agree. I also thought it was weird that they are making her breasts smaller. I get she used to be very grossly sexualized in the early games, but they done away with that in the new games and made her an actual character. As long as they keep that up, then I don’t understand the justification of reducing her size. It’s like saying women can’t have big breast and be non sexualized at the same time. I get their intent but I don’t see something like God of War going, “let’s give Kratos less muscles.”

I like that characters aren't getting pigeonholed based on gender. That is a good thing. But you can do that while also not treating the feminine aspects as bad representation.

See I know this was 2 months ago and I'm surprised there hasn't been a lawsuit over it. And considering that there was 12 million players and the game was 50 dollars at release, ubisoft would be fucked if there was a lawsuit.
Asking people to tip devs isnt comparable to asking people to tip you, it'd be more comparable to asking people to tip your editors through your bank account while promising the money will get there after ruining your trust with your community and being known for a culture of sexual harassment on your employees.

That's why I still want a physical copy instead of a digital one so you can still have ownership of the game and play it offline if I want to. Paying 60 dollars on a game then you basically just rented it is just weird. Atleast allow people to keep the copy and make them play offline.

It’s illegal this literally just happened this week in my town. A dude called his family and said he’s burning it down, they found his house completely engulfed and totaled already and he was just sitting in his driveway in a folding chair watching. I think another issue that can occur from the tipping of game devs, is the LOWERING of the actual wages. It's how most countries justify the abysmally low minimum wage jobs. You get "tips".
After working for years on a game, I'd lose my mind if I got paid half my dues, and the rest I had to make up by hoping people would give me tips.

On the matter of Taqiyya (which derives from the Arabic word of protection), it's not blatant lying to non believers or virtue signaling. That's all these companies have to follow but clearly that's asking for too much
Another thing they could do is try to use their less popular characters to do it.
For superheroes there is a LONG line of characters that are barely used in any capacity if they get used at all.
