- Memes memes memes memes memes, Panasonic CT-32E13G CRT TV is pretty GOOD
Also idk why sometimes the video gets a bit weird and pixel-y at times, but it's my first video so i'm still figuring things out
I made this video because I want to document more crt's and their internal components. Pls like or so
This video is sponsored by me because I got this tv for free LMAO SUSSY
That TV still looks pretty good, however all those war wounds on its monitor give it a true retro touch.... it's good that you give it good maintenance so that it has a longer useful life. Greetings from Mexico
Thanks for the video. I have either this one or the 33g, not sure as the sticker peeled off. Hoping to find it a new home in the Phoenix AZ area. I can't seem to find what resolution it supports up to. 480i? 480p?
Have this exact crt for melee, love it
About that artificial sharpening. Thats due to the SVM or scan velocity modulation. Simple to remove, just remove the connector with a red and black wire from the neckboard. It should be right below the convergence rings where it connects
Unfortunately this set and some other panasonics around this age didn't have that, and it was integrated into the chip itself. There's no found way to truly disable VM
I used this TV at a local arcade and it was amazing!!!!
I picked up one of these and found that my light guns will shoot to the right/have a dead zone on the left hand side of the screen. Do you know if this is just inherently an issue with the set, or possibly something that can be fixed with settings in the service menu? I have tried component cables with a built in guncon port, and composite. Same issues with both. The issues seem to line up with what others experience when there is too much latency.
I'm gonna go pick up the 27" version of this on saturday. Saw it listed on FB marketplace for FREE, and i immediately jumped on it. I asked the dude if he could hold it for me till Saturday and he was like "Uhhh ok?" As in why the hell you even want this thing? Lol. He said they're just now upgrading to a flat screen smart tv of some type, so he clearly doesn't know these are valuable. So stoked to finally have component inputs so my xbox and ps2 don't look like a blurry mess of colors. So i got another panasonic and a flatscreen 24" toshiba with dvd and vhs for sale now i suppose.
What do people sell them for? I got a 32 in for free from a lady who had it in her garage and was just wanting to get rid of it ps2 looks great vs on a HDTV lol
This is a strange question but when I was a lad I had one of these and distinctly remember there being an 8 bit elephant that skateboards as some sort of loading screen. However I have scoured the internet and haven’t found it. Do u know anything about it ? Or am I crazy and dreamed it as a lad
Hello dude, could you please share your adjusment values with me? I have a very similar Panasonic TV, same vertically flat screen, with the same menus as yours. I'm having a hard time trying to adjust the geometry (it got messed up a while ago) and I'm pretty sure your values will help me a lot to get a starting point and fix it myself. I don't need all of them, only from the HDEF section to the VDEF section. I hope you can give me a hand. Thanks in advance!
Hi thanks for this vid, do you consider this is a good option for a gaming tv? I'm thinking about this guy or Tau similar size, the other option is a toshiba
Yes >:)
Is it really that bad with light guns? What CRT would you recommend for light gun games?
So I've made a recent discovery about this set. The jungle chip it uses is poorly designed. That's not VM you see, but just poor handing of luma, resulting in those nasty vertical halo artifacts. There is no fix for it, unfortunately. Even worse, this chip is found in several models spanning from 2002 to 2003. (See my CRT guide for more info.) Also, I think your set had black crush, in other words, darker colors being "crushed" to black. You can fix this by boosting the RGB cutoffs in the service menu.
Now if you aren't particularly fussy about the haloing, that's fine. Just enjoy the set!
I have this exact tv with crush as well. Gna try that fix.
Thanks.
Hi, how did you discover that? I haven't found almost anything related to that problem. Could there be a way to modify the data onto the jungle chip?
@@Lizzardious I noticed it on my Panasonic model years ago, but I didn't know what it was. But the one who officially discovered it is on CRTDatabase on their article on the CT-27L8G.
I have a Panasonic ct-32c8g which is pretty similar it's got all the same video inputs but the plastic shell is darker gray
You're right on the similar part, though I wonder what's changed between the C8G and the E13G. Pretty cool though!
I have a ct-27sl14j and it great mostly. When i have the xbox or ps2 hooked up its super dark and almost unplayable. Could this just be the consoles or something with the tv?
hello. Do you know how to reset all those settings to default?
Got my tv for $20 but the remote control cost almost as much &14😮 crazy 😛
SUSSY >:)
Truly the gods have blessed us this day >:)
