Yes, more uploads from you! Loving your content man, it's sort of relaxing just watching and listening to your thought process in developing your city.
Thanks Aaron, I'm glad you're enjoying the series and I appreciate the support!
I'm agreed with Aaron
Thanks Niccoló!
loved your road hiearchy and industry layout + train connections was so much smooth
Thanks AKA PAIN!
absolutely loving this series, really learned a lot from it :)
Thanks Barney - I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment!
34:23 the cargo ships are colliding LOL
The intersections are notorious for vehicles colliding ... even pedestrians crossing the road aren't safe!
I like your videos but maybe you can sometime "zoom out " and "Freeze" and then highlight ( color code? label?) where the MAJOR areas are... eg residential, commercial, industrial, transit, etc ... so we get some perspective where you are placing things? ( similar to 20:23 but with major zone areas identified) It is a little hard to keep track of where you are placing things. Otherwise excellent content and appreciate it a lot.
Thanks wayne - I appreciate the feedback and suggestion. I might do this in some future episodes. It's easy for me to talk about it but I forget that not everyone has spent as much time with the city as I have and likely aren't as familiar.
I would be making thse collectors off the industrial interchange into big arterials instead of collectors. I would think about making an industrial neighborhood. Like you have the Residential, commercial and offices mixed I would have the Vanilla, Industrial Patch, and Custom industrial mixed. Run arterials and use collectors to connect "associated industries" for the local traffic to warhouses and materials to factories. Then build your "grid" out of 2 lanes. Road hierarchy might help with the huge traffic that future permanent industrial is going to make. Look at Barcelona Super blocks, they might be useful to create embedded paired connectors that create those traffic cirlces you use to deal with hub traffic.
18:09 the air traffic controller is drinking again... planes are going to collide.
Luckily there is no collision physics in the game! :D
Ima whole year late but how do you fix it saying there is no route in the harbour?
It depends on the map. Not all of them have harbour routes available. I just happened to get lucky on this one that my harbour was juuuuuust in range of one of the shipping lanes.
Lovely and ever expanding. Hey Jester, could check your previous video comments? I basically made a request for a new series - No Mods, No DLCs. This one for the PS4 players pouring in who got the game for free.
Thanks Tois! I have a backlog of comments to get through .... comments on comments take a little bit longer for me to get to unfortunately! That sounds like an interesting idea but I'm not sure I'll have the time for another series given how long I'm taking to go through this one :D I have been thinking about the next one and I'm considering a Snowfall map since I've never played one before!
Can someone please make a modd adding roads and highways for 7 lanes and 8?
hey erwa zhi! I'm afraid I don't know too much about modding. I'm surprised there isn't something already out there for what you're looking for.
@@jester.Gaming what dlc do u play with?
Hey erwa! Currently I have all of the DLC enabled - none of the content creator packs though. Throughout the series the DLCs that I have change (depending on when they get released) and should be listed within the description of the video.
@@jester.Gaming Are you gonna do a giveaway anytime soon? im so poor lol
Hey erwa, sorry for the late reply! It's something that I have thought about but would need to do some serious research first. I currently do not have any plans for a giveaway, sorry :(
This is a deeply ineffective road network. You've got freight services placed WAY too far from your industry, and your highway network is a joke. You don't have nearly enough ramps along the highway to make efficient routes to your district and you end up funneling traffic through unnecessary bottlenecks. For example, you led your industry road through the roundabout at 14:00 . Why bother doing that? Wouldn't the trip be shorter and less congested if you went straight from the industry to the cargo airport and avoid the roundabout altogether? This is just crap design overall.
Thanks for the feedback Glitcher!
