Barbie, in regards to your grandmothers sewing machine you mentioned. Some of those old machines are wonderful. I have my mother’s old singer 301 from 1952. It is a wonderful strong straight stitcher. I think of it as stronger than new machines but a step down from your Sailrite. I love that singer. That is the reason that I decided to order a Sailrite Fabricator like yours. These old all metal machines are terrific.

I love this pattern! I use vinyl and waterproof canvas and zero interfacing and it still holds shape and looks great! (I don’t quilt mine, but if I were to I would probably just use batting. 😁)
