What is Sulpa? If I heard you correct you used it on the flap

I’ve sewn dozens of hand bags but this pattern threw me for a loop. So confusing, I have had to re-read the directions, re-examine the pattern pieces and watch three different videos🤷‍♀️. Eventually, it will make sense.
