Wow. No 80s LBs like Rufus Porter and Chris Scott. It seems like some of those great LBs from Petes National Championship eras are missing. But, heck, this 58 catching up with me. 🤣

@@edwinmoore357 It’s definitely good to have members of Jaguar Nation that support the channel that can remember players that I can’t remember. For example, I had a couple people rave about Nate Harrison at QB (of course one of them played with him at Lab). I vaguely remember Harrison, only remember him throwing a game winning touchdown against Nichols St.

@coach67sportstv Yes, If my memory servers me correctly, I believe Nate was fortunate to play as a Freshman and to do so after Casem had cleaned up the program in a couple of ways and Pete came in with a HELLA coaching staff to take Southern to national prominence. Eric Randall took it to another level when he received the baton from him. Others followed Eric, but he and those that played with him made it tough to step into their shoes in what had been established. But, as your list have revealed, a lot of them did.
I am glad you came on SWACTalk so I would find out about you to start following you. Keep doing what you do.

@@thetruth4938 Sr. used to tell me stories about him, he’s probably the greatest SU LB ever but his stories about players like Harry Carmichael and Mel Blount stood out to me more. I vaguely remember him with the Saints but more prominent players overshadowed him. Minus Stump Mitchell players, I stick with the Pete Richardson Era to now because for the most part I remember just about all those players vividly!
