I've beaten the 1st game on normal with Milla. She is actually my second favorite character to play as behind Lilac, and she is the best with easy strats with bosses I feel, not one boss I can think of that she struggles with.
I look forward to Freedom Planet 3 to see the tragic death of Mr. Stumpy which will truly kick-start Milla's Villain arc and she will be known under a new persona. The Howling Lord of Darkness, Allim!
I love how different the characters feel to play, and retroactively enjoy their limitations in FP1, as it make the upgrades in FP2 feel glorious. Milla especially, the fact they turned her speedrun trick into a natural part of her skillset in 2 is some amazingly meta character development. Neera is fantastic to go through stages with when you figure out you can keep using her mid-air attack to glide over stages, with her focus ability making it faster. Although that doesn't really help her when you need to go up, which isn't a big deal to me, as it adds variety to how I play a stage for the 4th time in a row. And I'm sure you might've heard this already, but you can read what everyone's power ups do in a guide menu, it tells you things the tutorial doesn't cover. It's really a shame what's happening with the 2 cut characters. They mentioned a spin-off game, but looking into it again that was a throw away comment towards how they can't work as DLC, and not a plan. Lastly... I really hope the start of FP3 is Milla pretending to be on her villain arc, probably some big prank leading to a surprise party. Neera should be in on it to lead Lilac along, while Carol will either also be unaware, or be Milla's henchmen.
Right now part of Freedom Planet team working on new game - Chrono Gear. And I'm on hype! This game looks amazing, and time manipulation mechanics is my favorite. Since game based on Kronii and Council I expect more jokes and less drama.
@@Chubby_Bubby fun thing is... game may be absolutely free. This is a fan game based on someone else's IP. Almost a year they worked knowing this fact. But Cover corp few months ago became publishers and made possible to monetize fan games based on their IP. Most fan games stayed free (HoloCure, Idol Showdown, Age of Advent), but I would be glad if Freedom Team named price for their work. This size platformer costs a lot of time and money. Last time I checked Spacey Bat's stream she said game was ready on 40%. In current state my favorite is forest stage.

Watching this just makes me sad that it’ll prob be another 2 to 3 years till the announcement of freedom planet 3 only for it to be another 6 to 7 till we actually get it
Dunno if you ever got the answer to this, but I believe you have to finish the game as Carol or Lilac first. Maybe both? And you do need to have the right version of the game installed. If you look under the "Betas" tab in Steam you'll see that there's a branch _before_ the Milla story mode was added. Any of the versions after that should have it available.
@AnnCatsanndra I haven't got the answer before, but I'll give it a look and update this comment when I find out. I have completed both Lilac's and Carol's stories and still didn't get the option.
I love all the characters, but Milla being the best character in the sequel is incredibly satisfying.

Iirc the Wii U version eventually got the Milla story mode update.
Loving this video tho, these games need more exposure

17:33 bruh. I got hit with that Actual Ad thought it Looped when I skipped it xD
Nice, this was made before I was monetized so I didn't even think about stuff like that happening! I'll have to keep that in mind for the future.
bro once you get into the anlgorithym you will take off i hope u go far man
Thank You, thats a very nice thing to say!

Unfortunately the timing of this retrospective wasn’t in time with the console ports in the end, delayed to 2024.
At least I got this out before the announcement 😅.
Only 72 hours before a video becomes obsolete maybe a new record for the channel soo......🎊😎🏆

I think Askal is only *half* Earth Dragon and was being outcasted for being a hybrid.

Sonic and lilac tails and milla.

Milla had a full story mode in the first game? I have the Steam version but never got the option to play as her. Am I missing something?
