The street is the centre of government and has been the main route to and from Trafalgar Square.. My mum took me in the 50’s …. My grandfather was Superintendent if St John’s and Trooping the Colour was his big deal… the right to demo is part of democracy ..! Horses are often taken inside when this happens…
I think for the well being of the horses, and the guards on their backs, they should put a white line like they use to keep people back in the courtyard to keep people at a safe distance from the horses. I feel sorry for the horses being poked by so many people each day. It would spoil it for the well behaved caring folks but those horses and guards put up with far too much from tourists.
They could put a sign saying do not pat the horses and I agree with a square around the front and sides of the horses 2 foot to the side and 2 foot at the front of the horse and 5hat 8s as close as they can get. The other things a sign saying if u have a fear of horses don't come to close. 5hey way most of them come up to the horse and throwing there hand back and forth and arms up it naturally will spook the animal. Can still get a good picture without rushing at the animal and touching it. These animals have to endure a lot from the public. There could be a more orderly way of getting a photo without dozens rush at and crowding the horses

It seems like certain streets could be closed off to noisy groups on foot. In some counties in the US you have to get a permit to gather as a group . It works out quite well because extra law enforcement is assigned to keep it orderly and safe

Easy solution - protestors walk quietly past the horses. When at a sensible distance they start the noise again. It’s a very short distance to move quietly. The group in the video was protesting about their right to keep bulldogs. If they love animals, it’s surprising that they don’t seem to care at all about the horses.

The horses are trained to ignore such noises. Besides just living in a major urban environment with all it's noise, they have to be able to perform with yelling crowds and bands while on parade. If you pay attention in the video, the horse on the left is ignoring it.
As most of these people assume that the guard and the horse are photo props then they should be charged for the privilege of having there photo taken with them that may change there behaviour or even make them think twice about there behaviour and show some respect
Horses don't like to be crowded because they are prey animals and always want a way out is anything goes wrong for them. When all those people are reaching up at the horses's heads and faces, their hands look like claws to the horses. It's a wonder that any of the horses remain calm.

Put a square 2ft by 2ft at the front of the box and a sign stating dont pat horses and stand outside the box marked on the footpath, any wonder that the animals bite they put up with so much and if u are scared of the animal dont go trying to pat it as that upsets the horse more. Have a person to one side opposite side to gate to tell people to line up and take there turn in orderly fashion. When there are a dozen or more rushing to get there pictures the horse feels closed in . They have to sort something out before someone gets seriously injured or the guard or the horse get injured.

What? She is one of the first people who I have seen on these videos who approached the horse correctly by holding her hand out and moving slowly, instead of just lurching forward and touching it. The officer didn't tell her off, he just told her it wasn't a good time because the protestor's racket was spooking the horse. and then 20 seconds later a young woman came up and just suddenly started touching the horse and apparently that was fine. LOL! But I get that drama gets clicks.

Some of these people don’t care about their safety, they see these great horses and want to pet them like they’re bunnies 🐇🐇🐇🤷♀️
It is so annoying watching these people petting and poking the horses, they have enough stimulation with just the noise and constant flow of tourists! Thank goodness the guards and horses are not stationed there for ant great length of time!
What gets me is how many people stick their fingers into the eyes of the horses!

Its ok I have a horse of my own and I know what I,m doing,I do this all the time to my horse,well good for you but this is not your horse so keep your hands to yourself please.
I would find it SO tempting to want to touch these beautiful animals, but if you really care about them, you keep your hands off and give them their personal space.

What? She is one of the first people who I have seen on these videos who approached the horse correctly by holding her hand out and moving slowly, instead of just lurching forward and touching it.
The officer didn't tell her off, he just told her it wasn't a good time because the protestor's racket was spooking the horse. and then 20 seconds later a young woman came up and just suddenly started touching the horse and apparently that was fine. LOL!
But I get that drama gets clicks.
Is that all they do is demonstrate with those.miserable whistles? If you don't like the way your country is run, then move move to another country.
