great video ! nice and simple explanation for me a coffee weighing scale was a game changer sadly had to learn about that after 3 weeks for brewing espresso but i sure as hell can say eyeballing does not work here
made a 9 gram single, came out first at 8 seconds. Total time was 20 seconds but got 23 grams not 18 grams. What shoud i do in order to get 18 gram expresso?
I don’t know what machine you are using and how you are preparing the puck so I would say use 9 gram again but grind finer. And adjust the grinder to your taste. 9 in and 23 out can taste delicious. Some coffees also taste good with 20 seconds flowtime. Play around and find a recipe that you like.
Yeah not bad, some good points there, you would make your coffee sweeter if your output was less, say 30g but finally someone points out that the dose should be less for darker roasts! I do 17g or 18g for 30g out for median dark and 16g for 28g out for very dark roast!
@@CH-yp5by thanks for you comment. You are correct. I have a friend who is crazy about ristrettos and he is always pulling shorter shots that give a bit more texture and sweetness 👍
