It's not just a color issue my friend. I'm white and I spent over 3 years in juvi for breaking an entering and a list of other charges. Non violent offenses and no prior record. I woke up in my great grandmother's house in my bed. 7 cops either in my room or right out in the hall. All with guns drawn for a 13 year old white boy non violent crime and first offense. Woke up staring at gun barrels. My friend was asleep on the floor on the other side of the bed away from the door. He sat up because of the noise. The cops kinda jumped and reaimed their guns on him. I closed my eyes and layed motionless hoping I didn't get shot. I was poor white folks. Money is the color many people see. Most people of any race with fat pockets tends to get less sentences. I did what I did with 2 other people. One didn't spend a single day in juvi. The other was there for 6 days before he was released on ancle monitor. I pled guilty and spent just over 3 1/2 years in juvi. Arrested at 13 and released on my 17th birthday. I only say all this because it's hard to not feel defensive or take it personally. When someone says white people this and white people that. I'm a white people. And most the time I hear someone say oh white people this and white people that. It often doesn't apply to me at all. Anyway, there's my 2 cents. Keep grinding my friend.
I've worked in a white male dominated industry for 40 years. My daughter works with me as well and she saw racism happening and became a whistleblower. I taught her that you stand up for people and there are avenues to take in corporations where doing the right thing will always win in the end. Even if it has to go to the newspapers. The ignoramus was a very high up person who most were afraid of and let them get away with too much bad behavior in general. This took them out - fired! Proud of my kid! The racism wasn't against someone there, it was that they spoke out loud that they wouldn't hire anyone of any color. They were mistaken that my daughter would let that fly by without taking action. More people need to stand up.
He spoke about this actually, he is speaking from his experiences as well as from the black perspective. He's not trying to say all black people live in the ghetto, he lived in the ghetto himself. He saying how that experience would have differed if he was black.
I’m white. I was adopted by the most racist blac folk. They told be me I was going to hell everyday for being white. I am not racist and I still love them. And I’m not going ro hell for being white.
if you are jumping on the tom macdonald train... you should react to white boy... and then This house... in that order since that is relevant.. this house is a reply to the reactions he got for white boy.
I just wanted to answer your question to white people. Just that aren't all bad. I agree 100%. That's the reason I'm watching this. Just hate all of us. Don't let hate fill your heart. Either way they win. Some of us want the best for y'all. Some of grew up in the same ghettos, hearing shots at night. Handmedown clothes. That's all I want to say. Just like all black people aren't bad, neither are all white people. Nothing but love here.EDIT: Okay to be fair I answered your question before I heard the rest of you, lol.
I'm white and I don't see color I never have and this song make me feel bad hope out the inequality get some other white people have towards different colors and I think it's complete BS I grew up in the ghetto and I was the only white guy so I get it
