"I'll take that as a yes..."
The wonderful opening to the Justice League HEROES trailer was not in the movie, so I've taken it upon myself to put it back where it belongs in this re-edit of the scene where Clark recovers and regains his memories. I've added a handful of flashbacks from MOS and BvS to try to bring JL full circle as the conclusion to the "Superman trilogy" it was intended to be by Zack Snyder.
Yeah, that cringeworthy CGI mustache is still there, but there's nothing I can do about that without more footage from the allegedly invisible Zack Snyder Cut.
I kinda liked Danny Elfman's "Home" track. But it still didn't hold a candle to the MOS theme and that's why this entire scene is filled with different variations of that awesome piano melody.
On a personal note, this is probably one of my favorite Rescore videos I've done as I legitimately got teary-eyed editing the part where Ma Kent and Clark reunite...

This is how it was supposed to be. They even fooled us on the trailers because they played the Hans Zimmer score and a lot of us thought it was going to be on the film. Very depressing.
That's why I wish trailer's would stop playing tricks on us. Like even though I loved Suicide Squad, why in the hell did the trailer have to make it look like they were all going up against Joker when they weren't?

I was honestly bracing myself for.. "itchy". You sir are amazing and Zimmer's theme really made this scene better. Even though the reshoots for this were totally un-fucking-necessary and yet.. you managed to make it watchable. Props to you.

AZI THE MLG PRO my problem is more with the DCEU than the actual movie
Although I chose Ragnarok over this (I only had the budget to see one) I enjoyed the clips that I saw fom this movie. What they should have done with the DCEU in general is to try to continue it from the Nolan trilogy (with Robin taking Bruce's and carrying on the legacy of the Batman) and have the Bruce we see here actually be an older version of Robin from The Dark Knight. Then we start to introduce the other heroes and expand the universe just like Marvel. Introduce other members of the league (Martian Manhunter, Booster Gold, Steel, Supergirl etc...) and introduce lesser know villians. But it's to late I guess. Sorry if I ranted a little bit but I have always wanted to create a comic book movie universe.

Because Zack Snyder does not have a fucking clue how to tell a story. He has lots of technical skill and a great eye for visuals but a story teller he is not.
@The Lonely Traveller oh for the love of fuck not this again. Snyder left during POST PRODUCTION and not Halfway through shooting. the movie was pretty much done when he left. Even people involved in the movie have said Whedon's work was "finishing touches" . this argument ,that is still prevailing, that Snyder is exempt from blame for Justice League is complete and utter nonsense.

Celtic_Spike riiiiight. The same crew who said 90% of Snyder’s footage was reshot, Zimmer was also removed after Whedon took over and replaced by Danny elfman. I know how you guys like to ignore whatever counters your points especially when it’s in your face so I wounldnt expect much of a logical answer

As a Superman fan I felt robbed of his moments when he returned. This is what it should have been like, music and all. Not ashamed to say this made me cry because it was beautiful.
What makes things worse is that because I saw here and in the trailer, I actually didn't realize that Superman's "I'll take that as a yes" line was cut from the theatrical version. It's like whoever edited the movie went out of their way to give us the worst version of this scene. And this thankfully restores it, more or less. The more I watch this scene, the more it seems I notice new ways it improves on the original one. Even the dialogue in between the big emotional parts feels more fitting with the music.
And what was with the "Itchy" line? That was the dumbest thing in the entire movie (which is saying a lot).

@@SDesWriter I believe that meant to be a reference to Buffy the Vampire Slayer (I guess that was Joss Whedon doing a callback to his previous works). It's apparently how Buffy describes coming back from the dead, as well. But you're right, I didn't think it was a good line either.

Zack snyder's Henry cavill as superman..gives me goosebumps everytime..always inspiring and uplifting...just head and shoulders above every superhero..no gimmicks just pure good

This is my favorite of your rescores. It really feels like a conclusion to the Zack Snyder's Superman rather than a rushed scene. Adding the cut Superman scenes after this would really make this movie so much better. You did a great job. Only quibble I have would maybe be the "It's all downhill after the first kiss" and maybe use the "This is my world, you are my world" moment instead or maybe even the "You came back" moment from BvS if you wanted a direct parallel to them in a more romantic context.
Thank you for your comment. The reason I didn't use flashbacks from BvS for those sections is because thematically, this is tying their relationship back to where it began in MOS as opposed to where they left off in BvS. "It's all downhill after the first kiss" line showcases how their relationship definitely didn't spiral downward, but instead grew stronger and that connection they both felt for one another officially hit home when Lois trusted Clark enough to make his own decision to reveal himself to the world ("Thank you for believing in me").
Ah I see what you mean. That's an interesting way of looking at the scene and I respect the thought you put into that editing choice. Hopefully you make more of these, I'd love to see them!

I cried from this. Wow. I love Elfman (his Batman theme is the most iconic Batman theme I know; I should know, I grew up humming it while playing with my toys), but Zimmer and Junkie XL's score far, FAR outshines his. This single clip trounces the whole official soundtrack to JL, and that includes me fawning over hearing classic Batman and Superman themes in. Seriously, great edit man

The Clark and Ma reunion deserved this music! It deserved to be a longer scene and not just cut as soon as they reunite! I was so disappointed how fast they cut it when I seen in theatres

I'm so happy I was one of the people able to watch Justice League Ultimate Fan Cut. Thanks A.B.Director for being part of the collaborators! The music, creates so much emotion. And taking out those scenes with the stupid jokes made an improvement to the movie.

Now THIS is Superman.
He doesn’t care about his power, the fame or the many adventures he will endure in his time as a hero.
Just a small farm in smallville, hearing birds, feeling the sun and breathing the air.
He isn’t an saviour or some sort of godlike entity, just a farm boy with a dream to help others.
Half of this scene is re-shot by Whedon.
Next year, in the Snyder Cut, when he comes back to the farm with Lois, he's confused.
His mother comes back and sees him confused.
He says to her "the voices wont shut up, mom".
Then she gives him the MOS speech "Pretend the world is an island... " and that's what snaps him back.
Later, he goes into the corn fields and has a vision with Pa Kent, which tells him something like "You have to embrace who you are and become who you're meant to be."
Then Lois comes out and he proposes to her. She tells him that he needs to help the league, so she sends him to Alfred to tell him where they are.
... and that's how Superman's arc comes full circle and his rebirth is complete.
that's our boy...he all grown up...
To whoever manufactured this epic piece of work: you should be in charge of Warner Brothers. I just watched Man of Steel and Batman Vs Superman back to back on separate days and seeing your rescores and flashbacks made it so much more powerful than the watching the theatrical justice league. It’s sad when this is actually better than what the studio gave us. I hope someone can re-do the movie with the Zimmer score, take out the terrible jokes and add the bonus scenes.
Revisiting these videos made me emotional. We've come a long way in the past few years. Thank you for keeping that spark alive until Zack came back.

Wow dude. Wow. This was so boring in the theatre but here...this cut here? This actually made me tear up. WOW, I am actually tearing up at this scene. It makes you realize there was actually a GOOD story there but the editing in the theatrical release wasn't good. But this... if you could edit the whole film, that would be really nice!

Great editing. The is far better than the Hollywood release. Excellent work. This really shows the human side to Superman. As in JL, Bruce Wayne says, that "Superman is more human than himself". This is very true. I think the main reason why people like the Superman character as Henry Cavill portrays him is because he's the kind of guy who could be anyone's close friend or friendly neighbour, but he has all the powers of a living god. The best thing about Clark Kent/Superman here is he's a people person and who's extremely conservative about when he taps into his superpowers and he is not arrogant at all. He's helps those helpless in need and helps people to better themselves/see the best in the themselves. This is what I love about this character. We should all learn from this character and continually strive to better ourselves.
I can personally relate to this character as well for all the reasons I mention here as I do the same with my life. I can even fly because I am private pilot, but I need an aeroplane to get that natural high that Superman gets from his naturally given abilities. 8-)
What about Jesus Christ? He's better than Superman in everyway, and still maintains humanity in everything He does. He our Superhero and Gift from God. I love the Superman Character but when it comes to real world, Jesus is the true Superhero and God man. Plus, theirs so much to learn from just His Life.
I believe theirs a line in which Batman says: The last time Clark you inspire anyone was when you were dead. So that tells you what people feel about Him in Post Crises.

There was a disscussion in a FB group about Clark saying I'm an idiot when I left, but now I'm back to Lois from Justice League. She said it a dumb line which makes no sense and explain why. I was thinking about BVS of what Clark went through. When he was listening to Jonathan Kent's story about the horses. He ask did the nightmares ever stop? Jonathan said yeah when I met your mother. She gave me faith there is good in this world. She was my world. Later on Clark tells Lois I love you. This is my world. You are my world. Flies off to make the ultimate sacrifice. Bruce says I failed him in life, but I won't fail him in death. Diana says I used to want to save the world. To end war and bring peace to mankind, but then I glimpsed the darkness that lives within their light and learned inside every one of them, there will always be both. A choice each must make for themselves. Something no hero will ever defeat and now I know that only love can truly save the world. So does that mean Clark was an idiot when he made the ultimate sacrifice and inspiring Bruce and Diana to come out to fight for good?

Natanael Gonzalez Snyder's version played out a bit different according to leaks. Apparently when they first get back to the farm Clark still isn't ok yet. He almost attacks some bystanders on the road. Then Martha comes up and gives the "picture my voice as an island" speech from Man of Steel. Once she gets him calmed down the scene goes inside the house. He is out in the corn at dawn because he saw Pa Kent (Kostner) out there. He goes outside and gets a "time to be the hero you were born to be" talk. Then we pick up with Lois coming out of the house and Clark commenting on the ring. Would have been a beautiful scene
not just the stache.. the hair is different when he talks to lois.. :p
Brandon Valenza I've hear that specific leak is fan fiction. When his mom shows up they are at the real house which means Snyder. Even the ring part is Snyder but with Lois saying she wasn't strong was whedon. So that scene wouldn't fit at all we see what zack shot when Martha shows up.
Impressive what a simple rescore and some flashbacks for compromise can do to entirely flip the tone of a scene around... scratch that, now it HAS a tone.
something simple as feeling the leaves of a plant rustle in the wind must feel extraordinary for someone like superman that can feel basically everything

I love LOIS LANE so much! It wouldn't be the same without her, she really is the key.
I honestly didn't mind the "itchy" part, but your version of the scene is infinitely better for a multitude of reasons. The use of the MoS Clark Kent theme (the piano version is Clark's theme, the guitar/strings version is Superman's theme) makes this scene so much more meaningful and the flashbacks were perfect. I wish I had a good enough video editing program on my own computer because I tried to edit my own version of the movie, not to upload it online but to make it more bearable to watch. It's not my first attempt to do so with a movie, I tried to make a more Tim Burton-esque Batman Forever once with deleted scenes, some of the more ridiculous scenes removed and Danny Elfman's soundtrack replacing Elliot Goldenthal's (funny how it's Elfman who's being replaced now), and I think I tried to make an extended version of the first Amazing Spider-Man movie, mainly because I wanted more of Curt Connors (including his scene with his son).
