absolutly beautiful, the guitar line really sounds like a john frusciante solo project line, but apparently this is omar, then again, when you spend as much time playing togeva as those two theyre bound to heavily influence eachover, I CANT WAIT for the new album, sounding imence! Wow, alot of you guys don't seem to like this side of TMV huh? Personally, I LOVE all their new "acoustic" songs (such as this one.) Cedric's voice is just chilling, haunting, but soothing and it's really refreshing to see the emotion built into an entire CD. I think people forget that and tune into TMV as some insane fast paced crazed band, when they're not at all. Televators is probably one of their best songs and its acoustic, why not an entire album?
I feel the same way. Then again, Cotopaxi is a badass song, so we might see a repeat of Amputechture's structure. A mellow intro and outro, leaving the rest of the album to go wild.

yalls are crazy. how could no one think bedlam is their best? best drumming by far(for obvious reasons), best song writing(no half hour interludes), and personally i like the singing on there the most as well. great band tho. all the albums are great. wish they woulda let tommy go nuts again on the new one tho.

Speaking of that track, I never thought it was as good as it could've been, especially compared to the rest of Frances The Mute. This song's definitely stronger in terms of creating a classic rock song that could've been created by a classic rock band such as Zeppelin or Floyd. Hopefully the new album will hold up to what I expect now.
It's just a mellow approach, it's probably just going to apply on this album, and then we'll go back to more upbeat music for LP6 And this is one of the singles, so it's in the same line as The Widow and Televators

these guys remind me of rush in their heyday, the singer reminds me of geddy lee in a way. just a great, solid, wonderful band. i'm thinking the guitarist reminds me of vernon reid from living color, who later ventured into jazz.

No. This was just played as part of their acoustic set. Songs like Televators and Miranda were also performed as part of that set, and they aren't acoustic on the albums. When they refer to their album as being their "acoustic" album, they don't mean literally, they just mean it's their take on an acoustic album... meaning it's just going to be more mellow.
I got that email too but i think they got it wrong. Cos the website says the songs called "since we've been wrong" and the lyrics are "sinse we've been wrong". So im guessing whoever did the email made a mistake. Must say these new songs are awesome. Which i never doubted for a second they would be. :)

they made the two most recent albums at the same time, but decided to release the other much later.
