Masculinity builds everything for women and society, that's not selfish. Same for when we are in gov't, it's for everyone, when whoooa - mun do it, it's ONLY for them. Same for "someone to pay for me" not "someone to love".

It's becoming more and more apparent that the traditional cultures that did things like that knew a lot about women and those evil oppressive patriarchal rules were there for a good reason. I used to be offended at the whole "I do not permit a woman to speak over a man" type verses in the Bible but... after seeing women in control... St Paul was right.

Women generally vet someone she's dating with her female friends.
A man generally is going to be far better at vetting other men, in fact they're slightly better at vetting people in general, Especially older men - like a father - coming from the point of experience are better at it. They were young once, know what motivates men and sense BS pretty well.
Women are generally more sensitive than men as such generally more vulnerable due their emotions come into play, they tend to weight those more.
Sensitivity, like any trait and quality that is both good and bad, women are more susceptible to negative emotion - what that results in is they're often more alert to threats earlier on the flip side of that they'll see threats where none exist, that's one reason why women may fall into depression more often than men.
When it comes positive emotion on the other hand, we all tend to let our guard down. Generally speaking males tend to know better, they quantify positives, because most their life all the little things which had been positive for them often seem short lived, they're just so use to reaching beyond for the next rung on the ladder.

"I don't want a financial burden in our household, at all."
What does she mean? There is a difference between having everything paid for, and not having any burden at all.
Life has costs. We must make trade-offs. We have to put effort into life. We have to earn and maintain it. That is what makes it exciting and worthwhile.
Work (both in and out of the home) is not separate from the life we work to support. Working is an important part of life. Saying she does not want to work is like saying she wants to have less life.
Moreover, self-worth is not intrinsic or automatic. We have to do work and contribute to the lives of others in order to be worth our salt.

Yup! You nailed it at the end. Men are simple creatures. We like appreciation. We always like to test humility. Something most women just don’t get or in these modern days even have anymore. One of the biggest turn off to a man is a self absorbed, deserves it all, blabber mouth, exposing it all, non humble woman. That’s an absolute no for us. It just shows red flags all over! Though deep down we know most want these things, when we see they have no self control, it’s an immediate 🤮. Huge turn off! The ones that are appreciative with the little things, we then learn to trust with more things after as we go because we test women all the time. But most women these days don’t get this at all anymore and why we’ve walked away and are tired of wasting our valuable time.

Every successful person I know is selfish.
It isn't a question of being selfish, though. It's a question of how one achieves their selfishness. Is it by working hard and cooperating with others? Or, is it through taking and using of others?
A successful business person gets that way from serving customers and solving their problems. In turn, the customers are willing to pay for those services. Serve poorly and no one will pay for the services.
Giving of yourself without return is a recipe for personal disappointment. Taking without regard to giving is the same.

Good insight.Just one thing - real men aren't selfish. Real men give. They give up their finances for the family and will go without before they do for themselves. They give up their personal dreams if those dreams get in the way of their family's happiness. They give up their style (clothes, cars, etc.) so that their wife and children can have theirs. A real man is a leader, and leaders put their responsibilities first - wife and children first - and will put themselves last. All this is normally overlooked and taken for granted. That's why modern women are they way they are. Society doesn't recognize - or intentionally divert attention from - what real men do everyday.

@@joeking6762 My Grandmas were born in 1921 and 1929, respectively. Both were taught to cook by their mothers. In the 1960s, TV propaganda encouraged mothers NOT to teach their daughters any domestic work to ensure they would be modern women. Indeed, my own mother is a awful cook to this day at 75 years old.

The girl with the M&M analogy was interesting. Nobody was telling her any of the stuff she was saying about why she should stick her hand in the jar, but it was actually that it was her telling herself to do it. Also, to call everyone maggots, nails, and acid is kind of insane. She's unironically referring to the toxic guys that all of the girls get with, the M&M's being the literal top guys (whom women have demonstrated that they won't be happy with anyway and will only want to change), while about 75%-85% of everything else is something that is so invisible to her that it automatically gets lumped in with everything else. Sad.

The M&M woman needs to realize she isn't finding M&M's in the jar because she preselected a jar without M&M's.

I do wonder if men and women have different energy levels. A lot of the women in these clips talk about how tired they are from doing so much, but when I have a busy day (as in busy at work and then more work afterwards) I thrive on it, something tells me I'm doing good and to keep going. Even when I had finished last night around 9.30pm I picked up some other things to do as I was in the zone. No thoughts of when I get to sit down and relax.

"...something about feeding people and serving people...."
    Cooking implies care.
The one cooking cares about the people they are serving. In many ways it's an act of love. Maybe not romantic love, but good will love. Loving those in your life you are cooking for.

I've been divorced forever, maybe 10 years and I'd love a companion to be honest. My boys are 18 &16 and I co parent with my ex, so they don't need a father, but I'd still love a good influence for them.

I don't have much sympathy for the single moms constantly whining about how hard they have it. I was a single dad with my oldest son from just after his first birthday until he was 9 when I got with my second wife. Never had one penny of help or child support from the first wife who was supposed to have alternate weekends and holidays but flaked 85% of her visitation time. I didn't mind her flaking but it hurt the kid. My second wife was a good traditional woman, we celebrated our 20th last fall. She passed unexpectedly on 1/5/24 so I'm doing the single dad routine with our youngest son who's semi verbal autistic.
Being a single parent isn't that hard unless you're disorganized, lazy or stupid. At most it costs me an additional 90 minutes a day to do the cooking, cleaning and child chores. If you're organized you can cut that down to 45 minutes by cooking for more than one day at a time. I miss my wife, I wish she was still with us. But not because I'm not capable of an extra 45-90 minutes a day of chores. I wish she was here because she was a wonderful person and is missing out on the time and memories with the kids.
These whiny, self involved, narcissistic single moms that constantly complain for victim points can byte me. I wish there was more to keep me busy in the evenings after the kid goes to bed and the house gets so quiet and empty.

"I'm not his mommy" is just a clever (or not so clever, really) way of saying: "I do not want to make beds, or cook, or clean." But they want you to pay for everything, of course. Men should respond with "And I am not your daddy."

10:35 her m&m analogy is also exactly how men feel. Everyone is telling men to marry and that you just have to find the right woman. While women go the extra mile to be the most unpleasant and insulting and apathetic towards men.
No, I'm fine alone. Maybe her argument means that both sides should stop dating each other altogether.
