Compared to spring-loaded gas pressure regulators or reducers and to conventional dome pressure regulators, WITT dome-loaded pressure regulators offer considerable advantages:
    - a significantly broader control range
    - maximum precision
    - unparalleled gas pressure consistency across large pressure control ranges.
Even when the inlet gas pressure, flow rate and gas temperature are fluctuating, the outlet gas pressure remains stable.
Other names are fluid-loaded or pilot-controlled pressure regulators or pressure reducing valves.
How does a dome-loaded pressure regulator work?
The WITT Dome-loaded Pressure Regulator is a complete system consisting of two components: the pilot gas pressure regulator and the actual dome pressure regulator.
The pilot pressure regulator is integrated into the dome. Through the combined gas inlet, some gas is removed and fed into the pilot pressure regulator. A spring is used to set the required pilot pressure, which is then directed into the pressure chamber of the actual dome pressure regulator. Here it forms a gas cushion above the membrane.
Through the gas inlet, the gas to be controlled in the dome first encounters the valve seat. The valve opens or closes according to the set working pressure and passes the gas at the required pressure. The gas cushion from the pilot pressure regulator and the working pressure permanently compensate for each other and thus achieve a stable balance. The working pressure remains constant, even with fluctuating inlet pressures.
