Simplest way: Collect ammo, cover windows & STAND at the top of the stairs. Luis will stay downstairs & look after himself. Simply pick off all enemies who try to come up the stairs, with the shotgun. Then, when Luis runs up the stairs, YOU run DOWN. (Luis is just a nuisance who gets in the way). Run to the corner nearest the door & shoot everything that comes near you.

It's called the Chicago TypeWriter. Its based on the save point which is the real Chicago TypeWriter. Its recomended to be used with Leon's Mafia Outfit. It's infinite because its ammo cannot be found in the game.

I hate the cabin fight~! it's kinda similar to the mission in TWilight Princess where you have take the prince of zoras to the village to the west side but you have to deal with these troll things...and you have to make sure that the cabin is safe you need to prevent it from burning or you fail! Anyways I try to do this like 1,000,000,000,000 times and i keep dying but thanks to this guy ! (sigh) i passed it! Thanks dude!
my stratagy for the cabin fight is to just stay upstairs and kill any that A) come up the stairs B) climb in through the windows. As we all know, Luis is invincable, so that makes the fight easier.

how long would this game take me to complete on 1st playthrough becoz resident evil 5 was easy took me like 7 hours and im hoping this one is longer so is it becoz his cleared games save data says 7 hrs ?
Just did this fight on Normal on my third try, but I'm pretty pleased. I've never been one to get it right first time. I completed the game only dying 3 times, but it was on Easy and halfway thru the game I got the Chicago Typewriter so . . . I guess I didn't do too well. If you comlete the game on Normal, will you unlock Professional mode. This is my fave game ever btw =D

On the El Gigante i get my rifle out and shoot the chains on the door before the gigante comes in. then run by the gigante kick down the door run into the house with the key get the key and break the chains on the last door run to the end(dont leave Ashley behind) and leave.This should work hope it does =)

THAT FIGHT WAS AWESOME!!! I BEAT IT USING A TMP,SHOTGUN AND RED9 RED9 FTW!!!!!!!! p.s. there was no ammo outside for me because they all came in the house p.s.s. it was quite easyer p.s.s.s. The kick is a great help it saved me like 5 times, also if to many get in the house use the flash grenade, then either shotgun them or kick them!

If you accidently shoot Luis too many times during the cabin fight, Luis kills Leon. The first time I played and I kept shooting Luis accidently b/c he would jump in the way and he was like 'Adios, Leon.' and he killed me. I was like 'WTF! I was trying to help you!'
the Chicago typewriter and the rocket launcher both come with and cost 1000000000 pestas, you can get it from completing separate ways(Chicago typewriter) side story and beating the game(infinite rocket launcher) hope it helps :)
i know what i meant. the broken butterfly is still considered a hangun, but it doesnt take handgun ammo. it takes magnum ammo, which is hard to find. same as killer7.
Okay Resident Evil 4 fans out there ! Today is Wednesday ! Yes, I am about to enter into the sewer to fight against the Ugly Boss ! Yes, I already defeated him once by pushing the frozen carbon monixide extinguisher and used it on him , but then my game froze up . I have to restart again . I have bought the rocket launcher and the special gun to try to defeat the Ugly Boss . I am not too pleased or optimistic about the next two scenes after the Ugly Boss !
Finally I beat the cabin fight. Jeeze its a pain in the ass. At least now if I decide to play thru it again when I beat it. I'll know to save up on amo for that battle. Talk about frustrating. :P
it was not too hard 4 me. all u gotta do is go too the stairs and wait 4 them to come 2 u and make sure u have alot of flash bangs and grenades. the flash bangs are for when the parasites come out. and another game tip if u did not know, if you use your handgun to defeat the bigger enimies, more ammo will appear 4 yo shotgun and magnum.
@NintendoCentral how the hell do you have infinite ammo,how the hell do you have that kind of armor,how the hell umm yeah how the hell do you have that kind of weapons i don't have thompson in biohazard 4 (japanese version) i know wii version is totaly different but man wtf :D and by the way you are so funny keep doing this walkthroughs.

The Red9's a handgun. There's only two magnums, the Broken Butterfly and the Killer7.
Red9 only has 6.5 firepower when it's maxed out.

I used the TMP (sucker for it), shotgun, flashbangs, and incendinary grenades.
Both. A.A for the typewriter for ada's story and when you beat separate ways you get it for leon's story
