I would've thought the first passage regarding other gods would have been Genesis, when it says god says they man has became like us. There also used to be the gnostic Christianity that I've been learning a bit more about, where there are other beings that a considered to be "gods." That the creator of the universe and the creator of the planets aren't the same. There were also some early Christians that didn't think that the god of the old testament was the same spiritual being of the new testament.
