    I have been keeping a baby in the freezer with the tops of celery. My family eats a lot of celery, I but about 6 every two weeks. So when I wash them I take all the tops and put them after they dry and put them in the freezer. Its great to know that all of it is being using up. I enjoy using the seeds from the butternut squash. I will rinse them off and let them dry. Roasted them in the oven at 400-425 ish with some salt for 10 or so min. I like topping them on soup, salads, breads, or in granola. Super fun video.

    Just found your channel and I love it! As a traditional Catholic homeschooling mama I appreciate so much of what you do! Down to the modest feminine dress! I have made two of your recipes so far (healthier Mac n cheese and the cheeseburger soup) 🤤. Kid approve and toddler grand-baby approved! Have you ever made sourdough with einkorn? I finally broke down and bought a mill and ordered my einkorn berries and want to learn how to make sourdough bread strictly with einkorn. Have you tried this? Thank you for your time and delicious recipes! May God bless all that you do!

    I love your sweater! Did you make it? My husband and I have been married 34 years and when we were newly married he would freak out if he found a hair in his food...but now he says, "Oh! A long red hair in my food...I wonder whose that could be?!" That's love 😊♥

    These are all such great ideas for food prep! I’ve got some soft veggies in my fridge that will lend themselves nicely to a good veggie stock! I’ve been looking for tips on how to do a better job of reducing waste in my fridge, so thanks!😃

    Hi Elizabeth, Thank you so much for this very interesting video. I like the way that you explain things as you go along, this is so helpful. I was interested to know that kale that is sold in bags in the shops tends not to have the stems cut off. I have had tough kale in the past and it has put me off. In future I will prepare it by hand like you did. I am sure it is full of vitamins. I look forward to your videos. Best wishes Ann in South Australia.

    Thank yoiu for creating such great videos to inspire me and helps me stay focused on healthy whole food and cooking. My question: I see you often use apple cider vinegar. Is it best to use organic raw and unfiltered or just a good brand?

    Would you teach us how to transition fromprocesssed in my cubbards and no healthy cooking to the way you shop and cook. I’m overwhelmed with where to start! I’m 68 years old and live alone and rarely cook anything and it is taking a toll on me. Please help

      I need to make a video on this topic because you are not alone! A great place to start is to take your favorite meal, an ingredient like salad dressing, or a processed food, like packages of oatmeal, and work on making that 1 thing yourself! It will almost always be healthier.

    Hi again, 😂 I finished the video and now had a question:) I'm going to be trying this week the way of making bread that's on your blog, without sourdough starter, using the dough tub and adding yeast, and was just wondering if I don't use sourdough starter, will it still get fermented as it lives in the fridge? I'm kind of new to all that:) Thank you Elizabeth!

    • @healthyelizabeth
      @healthyelizabeth  8 місяців тому

      That’s great! It’s less fermented than sourdough but just like you make a sourdough starter over a span of about a week, as it sits in the fridge for a couple days it starts to act like it’s own mild starter. You can also scale back on the amount of yeast you use and let it sit in the fridge longer that way. Hope that helps!! 😆
