Oh this is fantastic! I love it! Thank you so much for sharing this video and being an inspiration to me. I have so many pieces that I’ve collected over the years, but I don’t know how to go about designing a cohesive landscape like you’ve done here. I would love to know more about your process and inspiration. Thanks again.
Personally I have only done xmas villages, but the process will be much the same. - First it will be helpful if you can think of a specific setting you would love seeing. Do your thoughts go to a city, a village, dark forests, farms, a creepy carnival at the edge of town etc? You can do them all ofc, but you'll need a LOT of space and a lot of pieces. So a main focus maybe bleeding over into a few other details on the edges is usually best. If you can't think of anything right away that's ok. The next step should help. - Pick your favourite piece, which piece should absolutely make it into your display? Hopefully the piece you chose will fit perfectly with the setting you'd love seeing. Or if you didn't have one, this should point you in the right direction. For instance, if your favourite piece is a facade you're almost certainly going to need some kind of high density town center. Similarly if it's a farm, or a cabin in the woods you'll need an area with sparse habitation. Now if your favourite piece is a farm but you absolutely love a town setting, you can still make the farm a central focus by raising it on a hill and by clever use of lighting. - Next step is putting all the pieces down on the empty board, raising them temporarily with books and other stuff and moving them around to try various layouts and elevations. Some people stick pictures of the pieces on cardboard footprints and move those around instead. But I prefer using the boxes roughly first and careful positioning of the pieces later. Take pictures of various layouts from several viewpoints and compare them. - You may find that you don't have enough space to fit in all your pieces coherently. So you may have to bench some of your pieces until next year. - Likewise you'll probably find that you really need to fill out an area a bit more but none of the pieces you have fit well together. That's when you have the perfect excuse to go shopping again! xD Most importantly: put on some thematic music and have fun thinking up little scenes.
@@CitizenMio Thank you so much for taking the time to thoroughly explain the process. I especially appreciate the encouragement! I followed your lead to build my spooky town and it is coming along nicely. I could not decide which pieces to leave out, so I brought more tables in and it is now taking up my entire dining room. Ha ha. I took inspiration from your town area and created one similarly. I really like how you have people walking in costumes down the streets and the street lights. Then around the corner, I built a small neighborhood with a pumpkin patch and a Halloween Costume contest. Beyond the neighborhood is the cemetery. On the other side I have setup the carnival and rides, and you are right! I had to buy a few pieces to fill in :-) Lastly, I am working on a small area for the Zombies... :-D. I am having so much fun! Thanks again for the advice and good vibes!
Now that I’ve realized that I can visit on my big screen, I can really appreciate your setup much better. All of your platform work, placement of every little detail piece, is truly impressive. Some of the greatest work I’ve ever seen. GREAT JOB!!!!
This is beyond craft. This is inspired. This is someone who not only loves this stuff, but is a bit obsessed. I totally get it. An amazing and well thought-out display. Kudos! And Happy year-round Halloween to ye! (insert ominous laughter) ;-)
LOVE IT its so cool I did one almost 3 years ago I love lemon and their spooky rides and houses it did a carnival in mine with the houses it came out cool
Amazing display!!, have you ever thought of a train set connecting or bridge between Christmas village with Spooky Town? I bet it would be epic, the 2 most iconic holidays with their respective designs. Like a vs type display or worlds collide.
This is sooo incredible! Absolutely perfect. How many hours total went into building this? I could watch this for hours its so mesmerizing. 😍 ❤ i only have 3 lemax houses right now, the pirate shit, black caldron inn, and one with a goblin who pops out of a garbage can in a graveyard. All thrift store finds. Been dreaming for years of making a city but haven't had the extra funds for it. This right here is some serious cash and some true passion Thank you for bringing to life the dream town of so many ❤❤❤ 🎃🔥
Could you please tell me the name of the building you showed directly after The Garden of Eaten?! I see that it says Jenny’s Herb Garden, but I can’t find that either. I’ve googled every word I could see on it and still can’t find it! 😭😭 I’m OBSESSED with your village! It’s definitely goals! You’re so talented! 🤩
@@fgcreationvillage4118 that is INSANE!!! I haven’t even gotten past that part in the video yet. I had to stop and hunt that piece down. 😭🤣 I’m about to watch the rest of it now.

This is a simply amazing layout. Love the attention to detail, and it does not feel too busy. Is this thing up year round?
Tnx so much. Only in October.
Incredible!
AWESOME!!!
Fantastic job! How large is your display? Mine is 2’x12’ but feels… flat. I love the look and depth you’ve achieved.
What did you use for all those cool stone border walls? Did you carve them out of foam or did you buy them somewhere?
Isn't there a train set with a Halloween theme? if so where would I get one?
Yes, Lemax!
Absolutely amazing!!!! The best I’ve seen! If you don’t mind me asking about how much do you have invested in this?
Where is this music from? Where can I find it?!?!?
How long did it take to set all of this up?
2 weeks 😊💪🏻
6:18 what name is the model cinema?
