Thanks! I compared the results on my studio's scan from a digital tape measure and from the Room Mode. The dimensions had more or less a 1cm difference. I'm not sure how it will perform over very complex spaces, but I'm assuming it will have a similar quality. And what do you mean by "modify Polycam model from a real world dimension"? The scans come with real dimensions already, you can choose to see them in imperial or metric.
@@LearnUpstairs Wow, that's quite accurate. I think the Magic Plan app allows you to separately input dimensions from a laser measuring tape via Bluetooth while scanning. This seems like a great way to ensure accuracy. Thanks again.
Hey man, I was wondering, what are the black foam blocks on the wall next to your desk? Are they for pinning items/drawings or are they for audio. What’s the product name for them?
Hey Martin, they help reduce a bit of the echo. But I think the rugged one is even better. I went for the flat one because of its looks, so it wouldn't draw too much attention. The exact name will vary depending on your language, but if I translate to what's called here. They are acoustic foam panels.
Hey Sterling! Yes, it can scan things in any size, but then you'll need extra tools to reach heights you wouldn't normally do. You might want to check out Corridor Digital's video where they scan an entire village: ua-cam.com/video/k1uXppV6TeA/v-deo.html
oh My god ! you have chosen your office just beacuse the lines are easy and the space is not complicated! STOP misleading people this software is not accurate yet !!! it needs more yearssssss of improvments
As I said during the video, it won't replace manual site measuring, but it can certainly enhance the workflow. I only chose my office because it was also a studio tour. And for reference, I had a 1cm difference between manually taking dimensions and using the Room Mode. Also, I'm pretty sure in spaces where walls aren't squared to each other, a scan will pick that up much easier than we could. I'm not defending the app, but have you in fact tested the new feature on iOS16 that came out literally a week ago?
I'I'm surprised that technology has advanced this much I am a high school student who studies architecture, but I felt that there are a lot of things that have become more comfortable with the development of technology after watching this video❤
Você é um orgulho pra comunidade brasileira de arquitetura!!
What a dope setup man! I wanted to see your dog in 3d though haha
Thanks, dude! And I tried! But he doesn't stay that still haha I'll try again, maybe with a treat on my hand.
Meu vídeo favorito de todos!!! Ficou incrível e to sem palavras pra esse app!
É o meu favorito também! E deu muito trabalho haha 😪

CHOCADA!!! Baixando agora!!!!
Ничего так, стильненько)
Sensacional!!!
Very cool!
Great video. Thank you.
How accurate are the dimensions given in room mode? Is there any way to modify the polycam model from real world dimensions?

Fantástico, você é o cara!
Que demais! Todos saúdam King Oliver
Hi Oliver, would you be able to 3D scan an architectural model?
Hey Sterling! Yes, it can scan things in any size, but then you'll need extra tools to reach heights you wouldn't normally do. You might want to check out Corridor Digital's video where they scan an entire village: ua-cam.com/video/k1uXppV6TeA/v-deo.html
My app is not showing the room mode. I guess you need a pro model for it 😢
The Room Mode uses the LiDAR sensor, so only devices with it will be able to run room mode 😕
@@LearnUpstairs yep but the feature will make it easier for clients to provide layouts without any professional knowledge.
Muito bom! 👏🏻
💙💙
Does room mode not appear for anyone else? I’m using my iPad Pro and only see LiDAR and photo mode
valorant !!!!!!!!!!!!

Como sempre, uma super dica Oliver!!! será muito útil mesmo!! obrigada!!
Just to be clear: this is not Polycams own invention - it‘s an Apple API that developers can use in their app! But it‘s greatly implemented here :)
Excelente! 👏👏👏
Nobody told me Architects can play video games.😂 Love the Desk Setup btw❤️❤️
I bet Bjarke Ingels joins his friends on Discord to play something too! lol
Thanks, Yazzer! 💙
😲😲😲
This is really cool!
Why I can not download the app? Can anyone help me?
