      @@unky5724 Hook grip is starting to get popular in the US but
      1) they aren’t as flashy
      2) it’s overseas so long shipping
      I haven’t went out of my way to find other brands but I would let be surprised if there were other similar styles out there

    Dr. Strossen is not " shitting " on powerlifting. When the sport started some lifters used zero supportive equipment. Right away some lifters used very weird wrapping to increase poundage. All I can say is If you goal is to measure strength. The lifters wearing nothing are stronger. To prove a point I tried double ply Metal squat briefs. I could not go to parallel with less than 500#. Those were not a squat suite just powerlifting squat briefs. The briefs did not make me stronger. They essentially eliminated most of the lowering portion of the lift.

    in regards to those very light (relative) cleans he does. does he just hold the bar in his hands like a over head press (OHP) or does he legit rest it on the center of his clavicle?

    • @RolloZx
      @RolloZx 2 роки тому +5

      The Bulgarian approach was that as long as it wasn't an issue, your technique came second to what you could lift. And they were right as you don't get a count back on bar path

    • @ShinSuperSaiyajin
      @ShinSuperSaiyajin 2 роки тому

      it works for Chakarov but his pulling technique is definitely not something I'll recommend to anyone.
