    That HDI really sounds bad. Not sticking to the service intervals and using local garage grade oil maybe. Mine doesn't sound like that clonky old thing. The stuff peugeot recommend at at least the standard service intervals and the clatter becomes a soft tock rather than a clack even when cold. This is why it's so hard to buy a decent secondhand car :(

    Also, did you even read the linked 'blog post in the description? I'm not one to cut corners here and there to save a few quid...

    It's always had the appropriate PSA Peugeot / Citroen oil used (and not some cheap supermarket plonk) and has always been serviced well below the service intervals. Also, don't confuse engine clatter with a crap cameraphone mic - it doesn't sound anything like that in real life ;-)

    i've never seen is before only when the oil pressure exceeds maximum tolerance

    it looks like black tar running out.......how about changing your oil as well as the filter
    this time round.......i change mine every 5k

    Shouldn't happen? .... Did you use tools to tighten it? ... should only be hand tightened against the rubber seal washer ... not cranked with a filter removal tool or chain wrench?
