    Great video Joe! Thanks so much for the careful attention to detail and exact instructions. Super helpful! Thanks also for caring so much about your customers. When I picked up my Airstream recently at Colonial you were so knowledgeable about the hitch you installed and very patient in explaining it to me. it was evident that my safety (and confidence that I could tow) was your first priority. Thank you for your great customer service Joe!

    Hi Joe, since this was so helpful, how about a video this spring on how to un-winterize the unit and how to sanitize the fresh water tank. Thanks!!!!

    Hello Joe ~ We are fairly new owners of a new 2023 Bambi 19CB (purchased 2/23) so this is our first winterizing season. We would really like to do it ourselves rather than towing to our dealership, which is a couple hours away (and to avoid having to take a ferry to get to the mainland as we live on Whidbey Island, WA). I would be MOST appreciative if you could show a winterizing video of our particular model (again, 19CB Bambi). I can’t find one anywhere. I’m sure it’s not as complicated as it seems, but being so unfamiliar, and having the Caravel somewhat different, I’m feeling a bit lost/confused. As you know, having a visual (such as this video) would be extremely helpful. Hoping perhaps in the next couple days or within the next week if you are able. 🙏🏼 Many MANY thanks! 🙌🏼 Dana

      Hello!!! I also have a 2021 bambi 19cb. Everything is the same as this video except the pump in not under the seat it is under the drawer under the microwave. To remove the drawer look under it { kind of hard lol) and push the orang le tabs inward. Then it removes easily. Hope this helps :)

    how about videos on sanitizing the fresh water tank after\before de-winterizing? Also, the hot water tank may need to be de-scaled and this would be something done at the same time? Thanks and awesome video.

    15. Psi, air pressure and a little adapter blows out all the water. Works very well.

    • @colonialairstream
      @colonialairstream  2 роки тому

      That does work well, however you can still risk having enough water in the system to freeze and break something.

    Hi Joe - this is a great video. I was rolling along with the winterization until I started to try and draw from the antifreeze bottles. I turned the valve to be drawing from the clear tube, but it didn’t seem to have any pressure. There was a bit of pink in the clear tube, but really, nothing being pulled from the bottle. Any insight?

      If the pump is running and it's not pulling from the bottle. Put your thumb on the end of the clear line to see if you have suctions, if not please give us a call for tech assistance.

    Joe -- Thanks for that video! No need for an air compressor with your method. Question: at the 2:25 mark you mention draining the fresh tank by turning a T valve. I have a 2023 FC RBT and can't find a T valve like you describe. Does my trailer have one? How can I drain the fresh tank? Many thanks. Paul McVinney

    • @colonialairstream
      @colonialairstream  Рік тому

      Paul & Elaine, your fresh water tank drain is located between the axles, under the trailer, on the same side as the potable water tank fill.

      @@colonialairstream Found it! I asked because the fresh water tank and drain are not depicted in the owner's manual fresh water system schematic. I created a written winterizing checklist based on the steps in the video. Thanks for the video, that helped a lot.

    Thank you Joe! So helpful! We just followed your procedure today on our 22 FC 23cb. We found the clear line and the valve to switch the source to the antifreeze, but didnt find the fresh water tank valve in that same compartment to drain the tank, as you did. Is there one inside our unit, or just outside on the tank itself? We found 2 valves on the tank...one on the underside with a red handle and a white plastic one on the side of the tank. Are either of these our low point drain or did we miss one inside? Also...confused about the hot and cold water valves you released on the waste tank? Our waste tank appears to have no valves attached.

    Good job. What steps are needed to winterize the batteries? We have AGM batteries with a solar charging system. Will the solar charging provide enough to maintain them through the winter? We have a 2016 25FBQ International.

    • @colonialairstream
      @colonialairstream  2 роки тому

      We would suggest bringing them indoors and placing them on a battery tender.

    Thanks Joe! Does anything need to be done for the city water hookup?

    • @colonialairstream
      @colonialairstream  2 роки тому

      In some cases an air compressor can be hooked to it to blow out any water that can be in it.

      @@colonialairstream Cool thanks. In the past I’ve blown out everything with the compressor, but your method with the pump converter looks so easy. Was hoping to avoid the compressor altogether.
