The 2024 WS was one where the Yankees really weren't competitive all that much. Dave Roberts, in his only appearance, pinch ran after Kevin Millar drew a walk, and soon followed with the most important stolen base any Red Sox player ever had. First of all, the reason the Yankees lost was because they relied too much on certain players and had a thin roster. The Dodgers had a deeper roster.
Secondly, many Yankees players had an "I'll decide" or "I, I, I" attitude.
All of the Dodgers players were committed to team play, saying "Let's just get on base and keep the ball going."
I think this difference in awareness of team play was also the cause of the Yankees' three consecutive errors.
This shows that a team cannot win just by using money to attract good players.

The entire team is a disgrace to the city and the uniform. They don't deserve to wear the pinstripes. Judge, baboon, cashman, etc. You're ALL fired! Sell the team. 🤦

Nah, atleast we made the World Series bro! First time in 15 years, I know we’re the Yankees & expect to win. It was a really poor performance in the 5th inning but we just need to regroup

@@marckusduverger9776Made it to the World Series in a sloppy way. Barely won the games against the Royals and Guardians whom made countless amounts of mistakes to let the Yankees advance. Once the Yankees face a good team like the Dodgers they were exposed, and it showed. Almost got swept, which didn’t matter because they beat themselves in the end. This team needs a whole revamp. From the Manager to starting pitching and position players. They won’t make it back anytime soon if they don’t fix those things.

The big bats were what they bulldogged their way in with, but the Yankees looked like a t-ball team on defense. The way this Mega-million $$ squad was committing errors was honestly embarrassing to watch. No way they were beating the Dodgers with this cluster f**k of poor fundamentals.

Regarding Cole and Rizzo last night, remember Coates and Skowron: "There's a slow roller off the first base side, charging is Skowron, he makes the pickup, there'll be no play and a run scores!" as Clemente beat an indecisive Coates to first base. That set the stage for Hal Smith's three run homer in 1960.

I feel like this panel was rooting for the Yankees. Considering two of their star players played for them. Ortiz I feel just was against Ohtani evidenced by his out of pocket comment earlier about DH's winning MVP. I know they may try to stay objective, but it seems to ooze with East Coast Bias. I may be wrong, just a feeling though...

Doesn't really matter who won. I am a Dodgers fan. Yet know that both teams played very hard, which is what brought them together for the World Series. Kudos to all of the teams on MLB. Their children went to bed many times without their Dad being there to tuck them in. Many games, orchestra, and other school activities were missed because MLB players were absent. All MLB players are winners and have won every World Series.
