Not near-death, but my earliest memory is that of me falling at a playground when I was 3 and cracking my skull. I vaguely remember my Dad freaking out over how much blood there was, and then I remember being in a hospital room. I apparently had stitches but it's such an early memory that I do not remember that part at all.

I really wanna see folks from Chicago Reacts watch some of Defunctland’s work. Especially the documentary on Disney’s Fastpass, although that’s literally a feature-length movie

That video ended up being far more interesting than I thought it would be. It is very long, though.

5:21 my youngest tree memory is a dream I had when I was 3 years old. I was driving in a car with my family on the highway. And for some reason I got out of the car, walk to the edge of the road were a big forest was below me, and jumped off. I was falling for a long time, seeing nothing but trees around me until I saw the ground. And woke up before hitting the ground.

I'm not sure if this counts as near-death but I nearly lost one of my eyes when I was 4-5 years old.
In kindergarten I fell off a chair and hit my head on the corner of something (can't remember what)
Whatever it was it cut me between my eye and eyebrow and they had to close the wound with silver-tape until my mom could get me to the hospital.
Other than a small scar over my left eye I got out without any permanent injuries. Looking back on it I was really lucky lol 😅

When I was gonna start third grade we moved from one city to another. So I switched school. The city I moved from was... A bit worse.
So when I started the boys In the new class in the new school were kinda crowding around me. Asking questions and all that. And one of the questions they asked was "so what's the worst swear word you know" as kids do. So i thought for a bit. In my previous school people swore quite a bit. Then I just confidently said "motherfucker" and, as they told me afterwards when we were older, that made me the coolest kid in class. At least until they realized I didn't like to play football and I would rather play house with the girls. Good times

The one I remember the most was when I was 8 or 9
My brother and I were watching Rush Hour. It got to the part where they’re in the bar and Jackie Chan goes “what’s up my n****?”
My brother told me to go say it to my mom. Had no idea it was bad so I said ok 🤷🏼‍♂️. Yeah that didn’t end well.

I scared a nurse on accident. She was taking my blood and she said to look away. Obviously after hearing that I have to look and I see it. (It doesn't bother me at all) so I laugh thinking about it. She notices I'm not only seeing the blood exit through a tube but laughing at it and asks me if I'm okay. I just said "yep".

Mt childhood near death experience was when I got hit by a car and was thrown into a bush.
I just kinda... got up and walked away. Found out later that I broke a few ribs.
    Kids are robust man.

My youngest near death was at the age of seven I fell off a second floor balcony and managed to twist myself mid-air before landing on my feet and as the shock went through my body I just walked back inside and my mom was none the wiser that day I realised life can be short if you aren’t careful.

On the topic in what IH said about near death situation I had one
I got hit by a truck when I was a kid, my mom was the nurse in the hospital that was sent to she told me about it and I kept remembering from time to time but I thought it was just some dream but my mom talked about that incident with my aunts confirming to me that it actually happened.

Naughty words. I remember my dad used to get me and my sister up and take us to grandmas because he had to work and my mom usually left for work an hour before he did and the routine was always him getting in the car (an old dodge dart) and if you didn't let it run for a few minutes it would die the moment you put it in gear. And he was always running late so the car would die and it was just "Shit! Or "fuck!" And it was a every day thing. Especially when the car did it again at the end of the street. And yeah. I remember the car died once and I screamed "fuck!" And my dad got so pissed lol. What do you expect when you say it every day around a 4 or 5 year old

Something I’ve noticed in this internet historian and in the comments, is that a lot of ppl didn’t know how to swim as kids. Which made me kinda scratch my head. Why? I thought it was one of the first things you learned very early. Maybe I’m just weird. I learned how to swim, before I could walk. Or maybe it’s because I live in a country consisting mostly of islands. Dunno.

Why would you need a second opinion on a standardised test? The thing she dips in will change colour based on any problems through chemical reactions. A second opinion would be just dipping another test in again, and in the case of life insurance... no, you don't want a second opinion. If the test says your health you are low risk which means lower cost for life insurance.
