Downtown Las vegas is also known as Freemont street and is like a cheaper seedier version of the strip. Only rich people can really afford to hang by the strip, if you want to eat or party you go to freemont street. However this was years ago, maybe things have changed now lol.
I seem to recall somebody doing a test somewhere on whether or not the stupid Naruto run was actually faster or not, and it's not, kind of like a sane person would expect. The closest thing in real life anybody ever found to people running like this on purpose for a reason was if you're running with a katana or other weapon, I think this might have been in samurai movies or maybe something somebody didn't realize? And you need to keep facing your opponent, so you run in such a way that the sword doesn't get in the fucking way? Dubious at best, total nonsense bullshit at worst

Downtown Las Vegas is the old strip, aka Fremont Street. It's a couple of miles north of the Las Vegas Blvd. strip. "the strip" is the mega resorts area. Downtown is the old school casinos from before the 70's like the Golden Nugget, The Plaza, The Golden Gate, Binion's.
